Harry, Ron, and Cetus walked across the cold courtyard; Cetus wore his scarf on a little tighter than Ron's.
"Why do they have to travel in packs? How are you supposed to get one on their own to ask them?" Harry asked, whispering.
"I mean, look at us; someone could ask us the same question, Harry," Cetus answered, pointing out the obvious.
The boys walked past a group of Ravenclaw girls. Upon not seeing platinum blonde hair in the crowd, Cetus just gave them a small smile. Harry and Ron both stopped and Cetus kept walking until he was at a safe distance to watch his friends mess up. Ron pushed Harry to keep going towards Cetus.
"What? Get cold feet?" He asked teasingly.
"Blimey, Harry. You've slayed dragons. If you can't get a date, who can?" Ron mumbled.
"I think I'd take the dragon right now."
They walked past a group from Beauxbatons, all three eyeing Cetus before one made the other two look away from Ron and Harry. Another group of Beauxbatons walked by, Fleur leading them. Fleur glanced at her competitor and the French-speaking boy he was friends with but continued.
"I bet Cetus could get any girl he wants with how they stare at him," Harry mumbled to Ron.
"Probably," Ron sounded jealous.
"I could, but I already have my eyes on someone," Cetus walked ahead of his friends, upset by their comments.
He did not care that most girls stared at him; he had his eye on Luna. Something about Luna drew him in deeper every time they talked. Maybe it was the celestial similarity in their name or her spacey and odd nature. Cetus didn't care either way. Luna Lovegood was like a Euphoria Elixir that Cetus Black could not get enough of.
The lion wanted to praise and admire the raven. He had seen how one of the snakes worshipped his snake counterpart, though she was utterly oblivious. The lion wanted to see his snake counterpart; he wouldn't be able to ask the raven alone.
The group of Slytherins hid in the same tower as the one day weeks ago, except Cetus joined them now. He had needed an escape from his friends and Lyra needed someone to help demonstrate. Somehow, he had managed to bribe his older twin into helping ask Luna to the dance in return for his help.
"I still can't believe you lot only danced when you were younger," Cetus rolled his sleeves up, staring between the Slytherins.
"That's why I need your help, gros con," Lyra exclaimed, discarding her house-coloured scarf. Cetus stopped and stared at his sister, internally sassing her.
"Now I see how you two are related: the attitude. You mirror each other's attitude. It's as bad as Draco's," Pansy commented, getting three sassy looks in response. Draco and the boys laughed.
"Let's just get on with the lesson, please," Blaise mumbled, it was always something when the pureblood group was together.
"Okay, so Pans, our end is fairly simple: left hand on his shoulder and right in his hand," Lyra demonstrated as Cetus put his hands in position as well.
"So um. Similar concept except it's opposite hands and well, it's on the waist instead of the shoulder. Ly, do you want me to lead?" Lyra nodded.
"Then just watch the feet, it's too hard to describe," Cetus was terrible at explaining, but was the only suitable option.
The siblings began to step front and back, slowly turning as they went. Cetus stepped back and Lyra followed by moving forward.
"I'm not used to going this slow anymore," Lyra laughed, remembering all of the long nights of dancing around ballrooms throughout Europe.
