UNEXPECTED

PROLOGUE

Camielle was your average popular girl. She had long blonde hair, bright blue eyes, and a bubbly personality. Everybody wanted to be her friend. Except one person.

Matthew Sturniolo.

Matt wasn't a popular kid, but he wasn't a quiet kid either. He had fluffy brown hair and ocean blue eyes. To him, popularity was the worst. He wouldn't be able to stand the constant attention.

Matt had a problem though. He had a crush on one of the most popular girls in the school.

Camielle Parker.

He would love to get to know her and possibly be something, but if he was with her all the attention would be on him. He just couldn't handle it. Plus, she was taken.

Jack Martin had the honors of being Camielle's boyfriend.

Jack was the complete opposite of Matt. He was the star player of the football team. Every girl wanted him and every guy wanted to be him.

Matt knew if he made a move on Camielle that Jack would have him dead in a second.

Matt thought he would never talk to Camielle. He was sure she didn't even know he existed.

On the other hand, Camielle was obsessed with Matt. She has been since 9th grade.

Matt and Camielle had shared multiple classes over the years, and Camielle had developed a slight crush on him. Even though they've never spoken.

Camielle wanted to make a move, but before she could, Jack swooped in and did it himself. He had asked Camielle to go on a date. Being the people pleaser she is, Camielle agreed.

After that date, Jack kept requesting to go on more. Camielle answered yes to each request.

She regretted it to say the least.

Camielle needs people to like her. She doesn't want to be on anybody's bad side.

So when Jack asked her to be official, she said yes.

Though she was still hung up on Matt. she was happy.

Jack treated her right and made her feel like a queen.

Deep down, Camielle wishes said never said yes to that date. It does sound like a selfish thing to say, but she means it.

Camielle pushes the thoughts aside and remembers who she's with. The man her grants her every wish.

Little did she know, her wonderful relationship would soon come to an end.

But a new, and better, one would start.
