Pierre Gasly
"All I need is you"
The Silverstone Grand Prix buzzed with excitement, but for Pierre Gasly, his thoughts were elsewhere as he sat in a tense team meeting. He glanced at his phone, hoping for a message from Arielle, his girlfriend. When the notification came, his heart sank.
Arielle: "Hey mon coeur, I'm feeling really sick and nauseous. I'm leaving the race early. I'm sorry."
Panic gripped Pierre as he excused himself from the meeting and dialed her number, his mind racing with worry. "Arielle, are you okay? Do you need me to come to you?"
Arielle's voice was weak on the other end. "No, Pierre, I'll be fine. I just need to rest. Please, focus on the race."
But Pierre couldn't shake off his concern. "I can't focus knowing you're not well. I'll come over after the race, okay? I love you."
With a heavy heart, Pierre returned to the track, his mind divided between the race and Arielle's well-being. Despite a commendable fourth-place finish, his thoughts lingered on Arielle.
Ignoring the celebrations and congratulations, Pierre hurried back to the hotel. He found Arielle lying on the bed, pale and exhausted. Without a word, he rushed to her side, embracing her gently.
"I brought you some ice cream, chocolate, and medication," Pierre said softly, placing them on the bedside table. "You should rest, ma chérie. I'm always going to be here for you."
Tears welled up in Arielle's eyes as she looked at him gratefully. "You should be out celebrating with your friends, not taking care of me."
Pierre shook his head, his eyes filled with love and concern. "Arielle, all I need and want is to be here with you. You're the most important thing to me. I love you more than anything."
Arielle reached out, taking his hand in hers. "I love you too, Pierre. Thank you for being here."
Instead of resting as Pierre had suggested they end up rewatching gossip girl for what felt like the millionth time. And as Pierre held Arielle as close to him as possible as if she was the air he needed to breath they were content, it was perfect, I mean sure it would be better if Arielle was feeling better but to the lovebirds any moment together was perfect. It war the perfect celebration.
Together, they stayed by each other's side, their love and care transcending the noise of the race track, as they found solace in each other's embrace.
