Our coffee date seemed to go well. I found out about his family, his mother, Mikasa was a doctor, his father was a lawyer, his brother, Farlan was a construction worker and his little sister, Isabel is studying cooking abroad in Paris.
I also talked about my mother, Karla who is living with her third husband in Detroit and also my step father, Hannes. I mentioned that my father, Geisha had died when I was younger. He started asking about my romantic life, we both getting across that I had virtually no love life at all. I asked him if he had ever had a girlfriend, he told me something which surprised me
"I don't do the girlfriend thing"
Soon after we finish, we walk to his car. I go to cross the road but a damn cyclist goes through the lights, almost hitting me but Levi drags me back, me meeting him face to face. We seem to embrace and my mind urges me to kiss him. I go to but he turns away quickly. He warns me
"I'm dangerous Eren...stay away from me..."
He turns and walks away. My chest hurting and hurt fills my eyes as I watch his back as he walks away.
Few weeks later, final exams are finished. Jean, Armin and I decide to celebrate at a small bar. A little earlier I received a small package from Levi, it was Tess of the d'Urbevilles. I was surprised as these books cost a few thousand dollars. Now I'm wondering why he would send me these books when he clearly rejected me. I shrug it off and go to the bar.
A few hours into the night, I'm very drunk and I call Levi. He picks up and I slurr down the phone
"Why did you get me those books?..."
After a moments silence, he replyed
"Stay there I'm coming to get you"
