Hippo scampers throughout the Arts and Craft store, full of supplies for projects galore. Looking through the fabric, concepts started to flood her mind in biblical proportions.
Purchasing as much as she could, the canine came out of the store heaving a small wagon filled with mannequins, fabric, sewing supplies, measuring tape, and much more.
After taking her haul home, the pomeranian set up her fashion room and got ready for her ideas...
However, as soon as she sat down, Hippo couldn't exactly think of what her idea was. Hoping to find inspiration, the canine made a Pinterest account and started looking for ideas only to end up with more boards dedicated to random images and memes.
A couple hours later, Silver knocked on the door as the scent of dinner wafted through the air. "Hey, dude. I made some din-" before he could finish his sentence, he saw his partner in crime flopped over on her desk. However, after the scent of dinner caught her attention, she perked up a little bit and went for some dinner with her partner and the rest of their found family.
Once supper was finished, Hippo went back to work with her first designs: An outfit for Ein and another outfit for Martha.Using a base mannequin of a fading black friesian mare and a zebroid pony, Hippo looked through the supplies at her disposal and Pinterest for color palettes alongside her own outfits.
Looking at her wardrobe, Hippo eventually found a red rose themed show outfit. Quickly, Hippo went to work with making new dark red tack and fitting it to the pony.
"Too big for a pony..." she muttered, going back to the drawing table to adjust the size. After adjusting the size, Hippo tested the saddle out.
"The seat is too small." The canine mentioned before once again repeating the same process three more times until it was a good fit for her regular and human form.
Next up was Ein. Although originally content with sticking with the same color scheme, Hippolyte dug through her dyes and found some dye she had purchased at a Halloween market.
The dye was black with orange fades. So, she chose to use it on her horse. The mare was remaining relatively still and was cooperative, unlike the energetic Martha. Either way, the dye was applied without an issue.
But it wouldn't be a matching horse without a matching tack set. And Hippo was aware of this thanks to her newly found keen fashion sense.
The canine found some leftover pumpkins and accessories from the same Halloween festival, and knew exactly what the final product would be. She dyed the bridle, saddle, and polo socks into a pumpkin orange color and fit it on her horse. Finally, the black mare was given a pumpkin tail accessory.
However, that moment of relief was short lived as Hippo quickly realized that she didn't even bother to coordinate a matching outfit herself.
Panicking, Hippo went onto the internet and designed a black and orange, Halloween-inspired outfit. Now that she was finally done, Hippo created a social media account called "Vanillaspring's Secret" to share her work anonymously.
