The Knuckes Series Makes No Sense

Now I'm saying this as someone who loved the Sonic movies and loved the idea of some content before the movie I've just started watching Knuckles and something didn't see right...

So the series clearly takes place right after the 2nd movie given by the fact there's still the hole Knuckles left and the fact that Wade mentioned how recently everything happened. Now this would be well and good if things made sense concerning everything else.

My main gripes with the show is the major plot holes concerning GUN and the weird rip off Robotnik guy. Let me explain.

So GUN somehow has access to rings and multiple of them? How? Is there something I missed? It's established in the first movie that these are established as finite and very rare items to only be used when absolutely necessary, so this begs the question how did GUN get ahold of one if not so many? It makes absolutely no sense. Also since when did they get so brutal? They were bad in the second movie but not to this extent and they so easily collapsed too.

Now the big bad whatever his name is. I hate this man. I hated him from his first appearance like dude is a rip off Robotnik but less sleak as hell and using Knuckle's power like how Robotnik used Sonic's and somehow getting his quills from places? I get that they can't cover all the holes but still for the guy to have so many whereas Robotnik was lucky to get ONE quill from Sonic. It all just seems so unrealistic.

Now I'm not sure if this gets changed or better or worse but I'm still watching.

Nonetheless I have a better suggestion for the antagonist, Agent bloody Stone. Why? Let me explain. Now you may be arguing it would ruin the setup from the end of the second movie but there are ways to go about it, keeping himself concealed so it's unknown who it is and there could be fear it is as actually Robotnik when it's not or utilise the fact that the government doesn't seem all too concerned with what happened to Stone after the first movie and this could apply again. Thought the first option seems cooler.

Having him as the antagonist would make sense too as he was already a pre established character that we know well to do anything for Robotnik and can have the potential of being a good antagonist (also if you haven't seen or read the prequal comic I definitely recommend doing so because bro is cold as all hell and it's so good)

Plus this could allow for Stone to leverage Knuckles to bring Sonic out to whatever the third movie has in store.

Plus both Knuckles and GUN thinking Robotnik or someone close to him behind this would create more uncertainty and would work against GUN or use them for information for the third movie.

I'll probably write more and this is all my opinion, I do think it's good but the plotholes like these are just a bit irritating as someone who is really invested into the lore of the movies.

If you have any thoughts or opinions I'd love to hear them!
