Even before her phone rang, even before she heard the screeching of tires, before the loud gasps and chatter of people filled the tent where they were having chicken and drinks — Nara felt him.
"Ah, that bastard." She mumbled her breathe as she took a bit of the crunchy, spicy chicken leg.
"Did you say something, Nara-unnie?" Jin-Ah, Jin-Woo's younger sister, asked curiously.
"Nothing, nothing." Nara smiled, and a moment later, she saw a text on her phone.
'Come outside.'
"Something wrong?" Jin-Woo asked with a tilt of his head as Joo-Hee also looked at her.
"Not really."
Ping!
'Should I come inside?'
"This obstinate man...." Nara chewed angrily, before paying the bill and getting up.
"I gotta go, see you guys. Love you. Bye, bye!" Nara waved before exiting the tent.
Immediately, she saw a crowd. A black car, or rather, cars. Bodyguards and a few hunters as well as civilians crowded around one place. Her eyes narrowed.
Her phone rang.
"Yeah, Jin?"
"Nara, Choi Jong-In is coming to your location —"
"He's in front of me." Nara said without skipping a beat.
"Already?!"
"Hey, Jin?"
"Yeah?"
"Tell the Chairman to get ready for charges against the KHA and for tomorrow's news headline: Kang Nara rips off Choi Jong-In's head."
"Nara—"
"The weather talked about it being windy, it didn't say anything about a dragon." Nara crossed her arms as the red-head walked towards her, his guards opening up a path.
"Hello there, darling."
"You ruined my sweet time with my friends."
"Did I?" He smiled, head tilting slightly but she caught the slight narcissistic twitch in his smile.
"Whatever. I'm getting in the car." She walked pass him, her hair swishing around her as he was left to chuckle.
"Darlings angry." Choi Jong-In smiled to himself as he took the keys from the driver, who tried to protest.
"But sir—"
"Take everyone and go back to the guild building."
His red eyes were enough to make the driver's voice go out. Choi sat down in the driver's seat as Nara was seated in the passenger seat, arms crossed as she watched him get in.
