"Not really," he replied, but the way his gaze flickered over her—checking for injuries, searching for any sign of lingering pain—said otherwise.
She smirked. "Liar."
He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Alright, fine. Maybe I was a little worried."
"A little?" she pressed.
"A little," he repeated firmly, but his voice had softened just enough to give him away.
Before she could fire back, Noriaki flicked her forehead. "Stop talking, you're giving me a headache."
