"Kara, Wake up!" Yelled Alex
"What" mumbled Kara, as she rolled over
"We're gonna be late" said Alex
"Okay" said Kara
"Hurry up" said Alex
Kara got out of bed and started her routine that she did every morning for at least 3 years. First she went to the bathroom to take a quick shower then put on her clothes and did her makeup. When she was done she went downstairs and got a banana since she was in a rush.
"Was it really that hard to get up" said Alex
"It always hard to get up on the first day" said Kara
"Whatever, mom and dad are already at work so we have to take the bus" said Alex
"I thought you said we were late" said Kara who was clearly confused
"No, I was just making sure you get up" said Alex
"Why are you my sister" said Kara
"Because, Superman said so" said Alex
After they were done with breakfast they went out to the bus stop and waited for their bus. Once they got on the bus they both sat in the front due to the lack of space in the bus.
"These freshmen are crazy" said Alex
"Weren't you a freshman to" said Kara
"It's not the same thing ok" said Alex
Once they were off the bus they both went to their first period classes. Kara's first period class was math and it was her least favorite but it was easy for her so it didn't really matter to her that much. Once she was in the room she sat next to her best friend Nina and class began.
Later, at lunch Kara and Alex sat at their usual lunch table that included Nina and Alex's best friend Maria. They were some what popular and well known around their school so they weren't bullied or targeted by other students.
Then, the school bully named Jake shoved a kid in the line and appeared to yell at them.
"Why'd Jake just shove that kid" said Nina
"I don't know, probably for some lunch money" said Alex
"Bullying's not even cool anymore" said Kara
"I know it's like he's stuck in the 90s or something" said Maria
"He'll get karma soon enough" said Alex
"I hope, that kid's a weirdo" said Kara
After lunch, Kara had history with Alex and they were both good at it but it was Kara's favorite subject. She'd always found Earth's history fascinating and always wanted to learn more.
"Okay class, when was the Declaration of Independence signed. Kara" said the teacher
"August 2nd, 1776" said Kara
"Well, someone's been taking notes" said the teacher
"Kara" whispered Alex
Kara whispered back "What"
"Jake's trying to put some kid in a locker" whispered Alex
Then, Kara whispered back "What do you want me to do about it"
"Stop him" whispered Alex
"Fine" whispered Kara
Kara raised her hand then said "Can I go to the bathroom"
"Sure, just take the pass on the door right there" said the teacher
When Kara walked out she used her super breathe and blew the locker door towards Jake so it would hit him and the kid could get out and get away.
"Hey, I still need my money you little shit." Yelled Jake who was oblivious to the fact that the whole hallway could hear him.
Kara turned around and saw her history teacher confront Jake and write him up. When Kara got into the bathroom she saw smoke coming out of the stall and noticed that the bathroom had a blue raspberry scent to it and figured it was just some body vaping. She was curious and used her x-ray vision to see if she was right and she was. When Kara got out of the bathroom she took the long way back to class and looked at her phone.
She opened Instagram and saw a picture of her cousin Clark who was in costume as Superman and read a caption that read
"Superman stops Lex Luthor, once again saving Metropolis."
"Kal's kicked his ass so many times. Why won't this guy just stop."
When Kara returned to class it was just about time to go so she packed up just like the rest of the class and went on with her day.
Once, school was over she got on the bus and walked home with Alex. As they walked she checked her Snapchat and did all of her streaks. It was a daily thing for her and most of the students at her school.
When they got home there was a post it on the fridge. Kara walked over and read it out loud.
"Sorry girls we won't be home until 9 tonight so you have to get dinner or make dinner yourselves." -Mom
"Well, we don't have anything to cook with so we're door dashing or getting pizza." Said Alex
"I think we should get pizza tonight" said Kara
"Okay, but no mushrooms" said Alex
"Ew, who likes mushrooms anyway" said Kara
"I don't know, weird people" said Alex
Kara and Alex decided to go to the park for a couple of hours and when they got home it was around 7:30 so Kara ordered the pizza.
"Alex, I'm going to get the pizza, I'll be back in like 15 minutes" said Kara
"Alright" said Alex scrolling on her phone
As Kara walked through the streets of National City, she couldn't help notice how peaceful it was. There were very few crimes and if there were any they would be small crimes like muggings but the cops would easily stop them.
Kara could easily become National City's protector because she had extraordinary powers just like her cousin who was Superman in Metropolis. One of these powers was super hearing and she learned to tune out the noise but she couldn't help not hearing a woman crying out for her purse so she walked towards the alley it was coming from and saw a man running with a purse.
She quickly used her super breathe to blow the man back towards the woman. The man dropped her purse and the lady ran to grab it and ran away. This was only normal for Kara because she tried to help in every way she could while being undetected when she spotted a crime.
She reached the pizza place and walked in to grab the pizza. She paid the cashier and walked back home. Once she was home she set the pizza down on the table and to enjoy the pizza with Alex.
"So what happened this time" said Alex knowing Kara had to witness at least one crime
"I just used my super breathe to push him on the ground and he dropped the purse and when he fell the lady grabbed it and ran." Said Kara
"Well, at least it wasn't a robbery at the pizza place" said Alex
"True" said Kara
Kara and Alex put on a movie and enjoyed the pizza then went up to their rooms to get some sleep for the next day.
