Kara looked out the window and saw that the sky had turned purple and National City now had a faint purple glow to it.
"What happened" asked Kara
"I don't know, it could be the generator Lena turned on last night" said Alex
"Probably" said Kara
"You girls okay" asked Mr Danvers, entering Kara's room
"Dad, the sky is purple" said Alex
"What do you mean the sky is purple" said Mr Danvers
"Look" said Alex
"Oh, the sky is purple" said Mr Danvers
Once they were dressed they all went downstairs and told Mrs Danvers what happened and turned on the news.
They saw Lena in her office
"I know you all are wondering what happened to the sky, and why there's a giant purple dome for those of you outside National City" said Lena
"I've finally fired up my renewable energy source and soon it'll cover the whole planet, giving everyone a reliable source of energy" said Lena
"I don't think this gonna be good for earth" said Kara
"I think you should go and stop her" said Alex
"What'd you think I was gonna do" said Kara
"I really don't know" said Alex
Then, Kara went up to her room to get her suit and put it on. Once she was ready she went downstairs and said
"I know I'm probably not gonna die, but if I die I just want you guys to know I love you and you were the best family I've ever had" said Kara
"You're not gonna die Kara, just make sure she doesn't have kryptonite" said Alex
"What's kryptonite" said Kara
"Clark didn't tell you?" Said Alex
"No, what is it" asked Kara
"It's this green rock that suppresses your powers and makes you weak" said Alex
"So if she has this rock I'll lose my powers" asked Kara
"No, they'll just be suppressed, it really just depends on the amount your exposed to" said Alex
"Alright, I'll be careful then" said Kara
Then, Kara walked out the door and flew to the LexCorp building. She flew to the balcony of Lena's office and walked in. She saw Lena sitting at her desk looking through her computer.
"Lena, you have to stop this" said Kara getting Lena's attention
"Why would I stop now. Do you know how long it took to make this possible" said Lena turning around
"I'm sure it took a long time but you built something that'll end up destroying earth instead of making it better." Said Kara
"Well then, I'll just go to a different habitable planet" said Lena
"That's most definitely not gonna work for you" said Kara
"If astronauts can land on the moon and aliens can make it to earth, then I'm sure there's another planet that humans can live on." Said Lena grabbing her phone
"Well if this energy source that you made explodes or does severe damage to the earth then you won't make it" said Kara
"You know what, I don't have time for this" said Lena pressing a button on her phone
Suddenly, a series of parts for a mechanical suit burst through the wall onto Lena's body. The suit was midnight purple and looked similar to a Lexbot. Lena charged at Kara and was easily knocked down but got back up to quickly blast Kara with a green beam.
Kara felt weak after taking the hit but continued to fight and eventually got Lena on the ground. Then, Kara saw a green glow coming from Lena's suit and Lena pushed Kara off of her. Lena began punched Kara in her gut then in her face. Lena then threw Kara into the wall leaving Kara to lay there.
Kara tried to get up but realized she was exposed to too much kryptonite and stayed down.
Then Kara thought
"What was I thinking. I just got my ass kicked by a scientist and I didn't even put up a fight."
After a few minutes Kara began to regain strength and finally got up. She left Lena's office and looked for Lena in the LexCorp building.
She found Lena taking interviews in the lobby while she was still in the suit and flew to tackle her. Kara tackled Lena into the reception desk and through a wall into room where Kara easily beat Lena due to the kryptonite in her suit not being active.
"When are you gonna tell these people the truth" yelled Kara
"What are you talking about" said Lena trying her best to lie
"The dome around National City. Did you tell them how it could grow around the earth then explode or cause severe damage to the environment." Said Kara while turning towards the camera
"I've already ran the tests and there were no alarming results" said Lena
Then, the ground started to tremble and Kara saw the dome flashing.
"No alarming results? National City is probably on the verge of destruction and it's your fault" said Kara
"That's some isn't gonna explode, it's only expanding" said Lena
"Then what happens once it fully expands" yelled Kara
"It will just-" said Lena being cut off
"Explode. Now how do you turn it off" said Kara
"You're lying again, right" asked Kara
"No, I'm not lying this time" said Lena
"Well I'll find a way" said Kara
Then, Kara flew out of the LexCorp building and up towards the top of the dome. She looked at it and saw that it was transparent and made of some sort of glass material. She tried punching it and saw that it wasn't damaged. Next, she tried her heat vision and the dome reflected it.
She used her freeze breath then punched the dome again and saw it crack. Then, Kara began flying around freezing the dome until most of it was frozen. Once, she was done she flew around the dome to build up momentum and when she had enough she flew towards the top and punched it as hard as she could.
She was thrown back down by the energy released from the dome and she saw it crack ing all over. Then, pieces of the dome began to fall down and land in the streets. Kara saw this and got back up to move citizens to safety and she saw that the sky was back to normal and she had stopped Lena from potentially destroying earth.
Kara flew back to the LexCorp building and saw the police outside so she went back in and got Lena out of her suit and took her outside to get arrested.
Then, Kara flew back home and saw that her family was safe and saw that she got rid of the dome.
"I told you, you wouldn't die" said Alex hugging Kara
"Almost did" said Kara hugging her back
"You better show up for the statue unveiling" said Mr Danvers
"I don't think I'm getting a statue, but I'll probably get the key to the city" said Kara
"We're just glad you're okay Kara" said Mrs Danvers while hugging Kara
"An eventful evening for National City, as business woman and scientist Lena Luthor is placed into custody, as well as Supergirl saving National City and potentially saving the entire world from being destroyed" said the news anchor
"I should probably take this off" said Kara walking to her room
