5 years later
The house was filled with the sounds of laughter and playful scuffles as you chased your son, Bruce - named after his grandfather -  through the house. At five years old, he was already a bundle of energy, and his father's cheeky smirk told you where he must have gotten that quality.

You finally caught up to him near the living room, scooping him into your arms and tickling him relentlessly. His giggles echoed throughout the house, the infectious sound bringing a smile to your face.

"Got you now, little rascal!" you exclaimed, laughing alongside your son.

Your husband, Dick, entered the room, chuckling at the scene before him. "Looks like our little troublemaker is giving you quite the chase," he remarked, his eyes sparkling with amusement.

You playfully raised an eyebrow at him. "Oh, I wonder where he could have gotten that from, dear husband of mine?"

Dick grinned, approaching you both. "Well, they do say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree," he teased, ruffling his son's hair affectionately. "But let me show you how it's done."

With a swift move, Dick swept your son into his arms, effortlessly lifting him overhead and spinning him around. Laughter rang through the air as Bruce squealed in delight, his grin widening.

"Look at that, (Y/N). I guess I'm the master of this game," Dick said, smirking playfully.

You chuckled, shaking your head. "You two are just a couple of peas in a pod."

Dick set your son back onto the floor, and the little one immediately latched onto his father's legs, tugging on them. "Daddy, play with me!" he begged, his eyes wide and pleading.

Your husband couldn't resist that irresistible grin, kneeling down to be at eye level with him. "Alright, buddy. What do you want to play?"

"Hide and seek!" Bruce exclaimed, jumping up and down. "you and I hide, and Mommy finds us!"

Dick chuckled, playfully tapping his chin. "Well, alright then. Let's get started."

Excitedly, Bruce's laughter filled the room as he and Dick left to find their hiding spots. You waited for a few moments before beginning your search, a smile on your face.

As you ventured room by room, you could hear muffled giggles and whispered comments from Dick and Bruce, their attempts at hiding still needing some work.

Finally, - with much help from your your super hearing - you found them hiding behind the plush curtains in the living room. They both leapt out, giggling uncontrollably, clearly pleased with their hiding skills.

"Found you!" You exclaimed, a chuckle escaping your lips as you playfully pretended to be surprised.

Bruce dashed forward, hugging your legs tightly. "Mommy, mommy! Did we surprise you?"

You pretended to ponder the question for a moment, acting as if it was a difficult choice. "Hmm...I think you might have snuck up on me," you admitted, a smirk on your face. "But next time, remember, there's always room for improvement."

Dick approached, wrapping his arms around your waist from behind. "We'll get there, Bruce. We just need to practice our silent footfalls."

The joy and laughter in the room was palpable as you all embraced in a warm group hug. In that moment, surrounded by your husband and your playful son, you felt a sense of immense gratitude and love.

"This," you murmured softly, "is everything I could ever want."

Dick pressed a tender kiss to your cheek, his smile matching the love and contentment in your eyes. "Me too, (Y/n). Our family and your love...is all I need."
