Destiny was in the library as usual, placing the books in their proper bookshelves happily going about her day.

"Dest! This one is boring, you have a different one?" Destiny rolled her eyes at her best friend Juliana's loud comment.

Juliana and Destiny have been best friends since middle school. A wonder, truly, since Juliana and Destiny are so different.

Juliana is spoiled, got whatever she wanted, can have any boy in the world, parties for funsies and literally anything she says go. Juliana's dad is hot in the business since he's a famous doctor and her mom a model. If she saw something she liked and wanted it, it was hers by any means necessary. Don't get her wrong though, she has a good heart and knows when to back off, like yeah she's rich but she's not bitch rich.

Destiny on the other hand was not spoiled, her parents made her work for what she wanted, that being said; Good grades, showing respect, straight A's and B's but mostly A's, and an excellent attitude. Destiny had siblings and each one of them were treated the same, their parents were school prodigy's so why not their kids? Only thing Destiny could have ever done to disappoint them was taking up a job as a librarian.

They may at the park one day when Destiny was getting picked on by a boy, punched him right in the face, since then they've been unbeatable.

"Chill, Julie, look! There's this new fantasy novel that just came out. A poor girl and a rich girl meet and fall in love," Destiny says almost dreamily, looking at her friend brightly. Juliana rolled her chuckling as she grabbed the book.

"Thank you!" Juliana hugged Destiny before skipping back away to god knows where, Destiny went back to putting the books away, she accidentally dropped one a hand brushed hers as she reached to pick it up.

"Oh my god, this the second book you dropped already!" Destiny rolled her eyes snatching the book from him.

"You mad?" The boy said laughing at her expression but he knew that Destiny wasn't truly upset, annoyed, maybe, but never truly upset with him.

A boy with brown skin, big brown eyes, a wide nose and thick luxurious eyebrows along with big mismatched color lips. He wasn't too tall, around five-four, and had a lean body with a tattoo on his wrist looking back at her.

"Jesus, why are you here too, Darnell? Do you and Juliana have a bother Destiny day or something?" Destiny said putting one hand on her hip, rolling her eyes. Darnell rolled his eyes and smacked his lips reaching out to the book cart picking one up sparing it a glance before putting it back.

"We only here because Juliana wanted to go man-fishing. I told her let's go to a club or diner but nope. She picked the local library," Darnell rolls his eyes looks at Juliana who is pretending to read a book while following some innocent gentleman, causing Destiny to chuckle.

"So that why we are here, but I rather talk to you than any man right now," Darnell sighed and linked his arm around hers. Destiny pushed the cart and quirked her eyebrows questioningly.

"Darnell, what happened to that boy I got you? The sweet on from the mall?" Destiny said in a scolding manner as she looked at Darnell who pursed out his lips and scratched his head.

"Boy, you better heave the fleas, or you turning mute. Answer me," Destiny said bumping her hip against his, Darnell sighed and looked at Destiny.

"So like...I stopped texting him right? Then one day I was out and about with Julie and you know how I get with her, I was turnt up and I guess pictures got out off me kissing some guys, flirting and talking to them and he sent them to me in posts and was all like "so you couldn't text me back because you were too busy flirting with other dudes?" And..." Darnell lead it like that but didn't finish, Destiny looked at him.
