The bustling city of Seoul was alive with lights and sounds, a vibrant symphony that played in the background of Taehyung's life. From the outside, his life seemed perfect—married to the handsome and successful Sehun, with a seemingly loyal best friend, Ji-eun (IU), by his side. But beneath the surface, darkness brewed.
Taehyung stood at the window of his luxurious apartment, gazing at the city below. His thoughts were a whirlwind of confusion and doubt. Lately, he had felt a growing distance between him and Sehun. The once-warm smiles were replaced by cold indifference, and the loving gestures felt like empty routines.
A soft knock on the door broke his reverie. He turned to see yoongi, his childhood friend and confidant, entering the room. Yoongi's presence was a comfort, a reminder of simpler times when life was less complicated.
"Hey, Tae," yoongi greeted, his voice gentle. "You seemed lost in thought. Everything okay?"
Taehyung forced a smile, though it didn't reach his eyes. "Just thinking about life, I guess. Things have been... different lately."
Yoongi walked over and stood beside him, their shoulders nearly touching. "Different how?"
Before Taehyung could answer, his phone buzzed. It was a message from Ji-eun, asking him to meet her at a nearby café. With a sigh, he showed the message to yoongi. "It's Ji-eun. She wants to talk."
Yoongi's eyes darkened slightly, but he nodded. "Go ahead. I'll be here if you need me."
As Taehyung left the apartment, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was terribly wrong. The café was only a short walk away, but each step felt like it took an eternity. When he arrived, Ji-eun was already there, waiting with a bright smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.
"Tae, over here!" she called, waving him over.
Taehyung sat down, his mind racing. "What's up, Ji-eun? You said it was urgent."
Ji-eun leaned in, her expression serious. "Tae, I have something important to tell you. It's about Sehun."
Taehyung's heart skipped a beat. "What about him?"
She hesitated, then took a deep breath. "I didn't want to be the one to tell you, but... Sehun has been seeing another woman. I saw him with someone else."
The world seemed to tilt around Taehyung. He felt like he was falling, his mind reeling with the implications. "Are you sure?"
Ji-eun nodded, her eyes filled with fake sympathy. "I'm so sorry, Tae. I thought you deserved to know."
Taehyung's mind raced. Sehun, his husband, was cheating on him. And Ji-eun, his best friend, had found out and was the one to break the news. But there was something in her eyes, a glint that made Taehyung feel uneasy.
"Do you know who she is?" Taehyung asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Ji-eun looked down, a calculated move to hide her deceit. "I... I think it's better if you see for yourself. I've seen them together more than once."
As the words sank in, Taehyung felt a surge of anger and betrayal. But beneath the surface, a small voice whispered doubts about Ji-eun’s sincerity. He pushed those doubts aside for now, his mind too clouded by the revelation.
"I need to go," Taehyung said abruptly, standing up. "Thank you for telling me."
He walked away from the café, his heart heavy with the weight of betrayal. He needed to confront Sehun, but he also needed time to process everything. Without realizing it, his feet carried him back to his apartment, back to Jungkook.
When he walked in, Jungkook immediately noticed his distress. "Tae, what happened?"
Taehyung collapsed onto the couch, burying his face in his hands. "Jungkook, I think my marriage is over."
Jungkook sat beside him, wrapping an arm around his shoulders. "Whatever happens, I'm here for you. We'll get through this together."
As Taehyung leaned into Jungkook's comforting embrace, he felt a glimmer of hope amidst the turmoil. He didn't know what the future held, but with Jungkook by his side, he felt a strength he hadn't known before. Little did he know, this was only the beginning of a journey that would change his life forever.

Taehyung's mind was a whirlwind as he walked back to his apartment after meeting Ji-eun. Ji-eun's words echoed in his ears, and doubt gnawed at his heart. He needed to know the truth.
He entered the apartment quietly, the dim lights casting long shadows across the living room. A faint noise caught his attention—voices coming from the bedroom. His heart pounded as he slowly approached the door, which was slightly ajar.
Peering through the crack, he saw Sehun in bed with Ji-eun. They were wrapped in each other's arms, their whispered words filled with a cruel intimacy. Taehyung felt like he was in a nightmare, unable to move or look away.
"You know," Ji-eun said softly, running her fingers through Sehun's hair, "Tae is so clueless. He really believes we're just best friends."
Sehun chuckled, a sound that sent a shiver down Taehyung's spine. "He's too naive. It's almost pathetic."
Tears welled up in Taehyung's eyes as he listened, his heart breaking with each word. He had trusted them both, and now that trust was shattered.
Ji-eun sighed, a satisfied smile on her lips. "We should probably keep this quiet a little longer. I don't want anything to ruin what we have."
Sehun nodded, pulling her closer. "Don't worry. Tae won't find out. He's too wrapped up in his own little world."
Taehyung couldn't take it anymore. He pushed the door open, his eyes burning with tears and rage. "How could you?" he shouted, his voice cracking. "How could you both do this to me?"
Sehun and Ji-eun sprang apart, shock and guilt flashing across their faces. "Tae, it's not what it looks like," Sehun stammered, but the lie fell flat.
"Don't lie to me!" Taehyung screamed. "I heard everything. How long has this been going on?"
Ji-eun tried to reach for him, but Taehyung recoiled. "Tae, please, let us explain," she pleaded.
"Explain?" Taehyung's voice was filled with bitter laughter. "There's nothing to explain. You betrayed me. Both of you."
Sehun's expression turned cold. "Maybe if you weren't so distant, this wouldn't have happened."
Taehyung felt a fresh wave of pain and anger. "So this is my fault? You chose to cheat, and you're blaming me?"
Without another word, Taehyung turned and fled the apartment, ignoring their calls. He stumbled down the stairs, his vision blurred by tears, his heart shattered into pieces.
