37# I have to die?

[BELLA'S POV]

As I see Snape's memory, a lot of images go by, some of him as a kid with my mom, others of him being bullied by my dad. Then with a quick change, it's him talking to Dumbledore. "You said you would keep her safe." I assumed he was talking about my mom. "Lily and James put their faith in the wrong person, Severus. Rather like you."

"The twins survived." Dumbledore turns to him "They don't need protection. The Dark Lord is gone. The twins will be safe."  "The Dark Lord will return! And when he does, the boy will be in terrible danger. He has her eyes. If you truly loved her.."

"No one can know. I should never reveal the best of you, Severus." Then it changes to them again, this time in a corridor. "The prophecy did not refer to a woman. It spoke of a girl born at the end of July."  "You must be the one to kill me, Severus. It is the only way."  Then Snape casts his Patronus, revealing a silver doe. "Lily? After all this time?"  "Always."

Then it's them in the Forbidden Forest. "The twins must not know until the last moment, until it is necessary, mainly Bella."  Otherwise, she will never be able to accomplish it."  "I've been...working for this? You've kept them so she can die...at the proper moment."  "Don't tell me now that you have grown to care for the girl." 

As I put my head out of the Pensieve, i shiver over what I just heard. "Sis, what is it? What did you see?" Harry says worried. "I... I have to go. I have to face him." I say with my voice trembling. "What do you mean? Face who? Voldemort?" Ron looks at me dead serious. "Love, you can't  do this- " "It's the only way to end this. I have to let him kill me." 

Hermione is shocked. "No, Bella! There must be another way. We can find another way!" "No, Hermione. There isn't. I have to die. That's the only way to destroy the part of his soul that's inside me." Ron grabs my arm. "There has to be another way! We can fight him together, all of us!" "No, Ron. This is something I have to do alone. It's the only way to protect everyone. To protect all of you, like I promised."

Hermione starts crying and my heart breaks. "But Bells, you can't... we can't lose you." "I'm sorry. I wish there was another way, but there isn't. I have to do this. For all of us." She nods and I turn to him and Hermione. "Thank you, for everything. I love you both. You guys are the best brother and best friend a person could ask for."

Then I turn to Ron, with tears in my eyes, running like a river. "And you, you know I love you with all my heart. You're the only person I've ever loved." He hugs me tight. "I love you Bella. My life will never be the same without you."I look at him and give him a passionate kiss, thinking this is the last time.

"If you are so brave as you say you are, come meet me alone in the Forbidden Forest to end all of this."  It was Voldemort calling me, and I was going there. With my heart on my hand, I stepped in the leaves of the forest to find Voldemort.

As soon as he sees me, a big smile opens in his face, revealing some ugly theeth. " It ends tonight, Tom." "Indeed it does, Bella Potter. Avada Kedavra!" Voldemort unleashes the Killing Curse and i just accept my fate. 

Then i find myself in a strange, dimly lit space, unsure of where I am or how I got there. Suddenly, I see a figure emerge from the shadows. It's Dumbledore, looking serene and wise.

"Bella, my dear girl. I'm afraid you've found yourself in a place between life and death." I was very much confused. " Professor Dumbledore? Where am I?" "This is a place beyond the veil, Bella. A realm where the soul lingers before moving on. You're not quite dead, but you're not quite alive either."

"But what about Voldemort? Did I defeat him?" "You did what needed to be done. You faced your greatest fear and conquered it. But there is still much left for you to do." I smile. "I'll do whatever it takes to finish it, Professor. I won't let Voldemort win." "I have no doubt about that, Bella. But there is one more thing you must know. The power that saved you tonight... it is a power that Voldemort knows not."

"What power is that?" I say, curious. " Love, Bella . It was your mother's love that protected you and your brother all these years. It's a power that Voldemort cannot comprehend. It's what truly makes you different from him." "Love... I've always known it was important, but I never realized just how powerful it could be."

"It's time to wake up Bella." I "wake up" from death and i can see that I'm being carried by Hagrid, who you can see that just cried. "Bella Potter is dead! HeHeHe." I can see Ron, Mione and Harry crying, along with everyone. Then I get off from Hagrid and stand up. "Am I really, Voldy?"

" No... it can't be!" "You were wrong, Tom. Love will always triumph over hate." "Potter... you are but a mere inconvenience. You cannot defeat me." "It's not about defeating you, Voldy. It's about standing up to you. It's about protecting those we love and fighting for what's right."

Voldemort points his wand at me and Harry automaticaly stands beside me, also fighting Voldemort. " We've got your back, Bella!" Neville screams. "Stay strong, Bella!" Hermione screams, casting protective spells around us.

" You can't win, Voldemort. Your reign of terror ends tonight." "Foolish boy! You cannot comprehend the power I wield." "What power?" I laugh and he casts another spell at me. "Keep going, sis! We've got this!" I retreat so much, that I find myself on the edge on a cliff, which gives me an idea.

"Let's end this the way it started, togheter." I jump off the cliff and take Voldemort with me, whom brings me bcak to the surface, due to being clinging to him.

"Die Potter!" He casts another spell and I do it at the same time. We're both fighting to see who loses first, and I am abaout to faint. Suddenly, Neville shows up with the Gryffindor sword and kills Nagini. "Awsome Neville!" 

When Voldemort is distracted I attack him with a Stupefy, which helps him reak into pieces. "We did it! We killed Voldemort!" Everyone gathered around and hugged, Hermione kissing Harry, and Luna finally kissing Neville.

Ron ran to me and lifted me up in the air. "We did it Bella, we saved our people." "Yes we did, and now we have time to plan our future."
