I honestly thought that this week was going to be like any other week had been for me and the rest of the group. At least, that's how it started… Now, we were all in a terrible situation…. But first, let me backup a little bit.
It was Sunday, in the afternoon. The day had gone quite well, and was full of entertainment. Today, Taylor had made plans with all of us, but didn't tell us what they were, just that we needed to meet her at the city park around two. We all agreed, but I was a little more hesitant due to how loud the city park can be, especially during weekends, but she soon persuaded me to come. She told me that it wouldn't be as loud as I thought with where we were meeting.
So here I am, an hour before two, getting ready for whatever Taylor planned to do. I was in my usual cropped hoodie and long sleeve, with a pair of dark green cargo pants and my normal combat boots. I stared at myself in the mirror, trying to figure out what type of hairstyle I should do, when my phone went off. I sighed and walked over, checking to see what it was. It was a message, and it was from the Psycho himself.
Great… I thought, opening up the message, a frown on my face.
Blonde Annoyance 🙄
Hey Ash! Just wanted you to know that I'm at your house and I'll be going with you to the city park! :D Ben as well!! See ya when your downstairs!!!! :pI rolled my eyes.
Me
Thanks for telling me BEFORE YOU SHOWED UP. And work on your grammar, dimwit.I turned my phone off, and went back to the mirror. Might as well just go with what I know how to do best. I thought, and began to braid my hair as I usually had it. When I finished, I grabbed my second pair of headphones, my phone, and headed down to the living room. As soon as I came into view of the living room, I mentally cringed upon seeing Aiden.
When he spotted me, which was almost immediately, his normal smile widened, and he waved. “Hey Ash! Good to see you!” He said, tone full of energy.
“Hi. Good to see you too..” I replied, walking over to my father, waving to Ben as well. “I'm ready to go, and it's almost 1:30.” I told him.
He nodded. “That it is, Trooper. I'll go start the Jeep, and we'll head over to the park in a few. Your mother has made you lunch, if you want it to go with you.” He went to the kitchen, grabbed the keys, and walked out the front door.
I headed over to my mom, looking at what she made me for lunch. “Salami and mayo with lettuce and Swiss… Thanks mom.” I said, grabbing the lunch.
She smiled at me, giving a quick hug. “Hope you have some fun with your friends this afternoon. I left you a bit of money too if you wanted to get anything while you're out.”
I nodded, and walked back over to the living room, taking a seat and aimlessly going through my phone while I waited. Aiden sat down next to me, and grabbed the bag that had my lunch in it from me.
“Hey! You could ask!” I hissed, glaring at him a little.
“Sorry! I'm just keen on what type of lunch you're bringing.” He said, opening it and looking at the contents, giving a light chuckle as he looked. “Looks very delicious.” He put the bag back, smiling.
“Whatever.. You won't be getting any.” I murmured as my dad walked back inside. We waited a little longer, then me, Ben, Aiden and my dad jumped into the Jeep, and headed to the city park. The entire drive, Aiden bothered me with just about anything he would talk about.
