When the Moon Comes Up

Chapter 2 Lucy

Some new rules with the new dog is that where ever you went after ten you would have to bring Lucy. Lucy is our dogs new name. Of course my brother asked the stupidest question and asked "what if there's a no dog policy". My dad said "that this neighborhood is stupid and there is dog policy's here and don't tell anyone I said that" and then my dad said "that if someone was out with Lucy there was no going any where until they came back". Of course my brother was about to ask another stupid question but then the lights went out and there was a knock on the door. My dad answered it and no one was there again but when he had a chance to look outside and he saw that everyone's lights are out, the street lights are out but the moon is out. Then he said I'll be right back" closed the door and and left. We found out he had gone to Ricky's house ( our next door neighbor) and asked "what was going on?" Ricky said "it was just an power outage". But no one believes Ricky because he had committed a crime and just moved in yesterday, but people say they see him all the time. Anyways when he walked back we heard screaming at the top of his lounges and the power turned back on. When we walked outside everyone had come out of there houses and went back in quickly after they saw the moon. We went outside and saw our dad dead not breathing and we looked at each other in shock and tears in our eyes and wondered who had done this and went back inside for safety.........
