The room went dark behind Harper, nothing but a creepy bright white smile flashing on the wall, laughing silently. The same one from Griffin's dreams.

But none of that mattered now.

Because Griffin Campbell, was dead.

2054

Nick arrived in his own time and sprinted upstairs to his parents' bedroom. He grabbed a pile of money from the drawer of Harper's nightstand and ran out the front door, in search of the nearest bus stop.

He contemplated with what could possibly be wrong with his father. What could the crystal have possibly done that is THIS bad?

As he rode the bus, he wished that it would go faster. He knew that it was wistful thinking, but a boy could try, right?

After what seemed like a forever drive, Nick arrived at the Sulphur Springs hospital. He got off the bus, being pushed around by the crowd of people. He slid his way through and eventually made it to the front door.

He jogged inside and approached the front desk.

"Griffin Campbell?" Nick said. The woman behind the front desk exchanged a look with her coworker that Nick couldn't quite read.

"Who are you?" The woman asked.

"Nick Campbell, his son." The boy explained. Another glance to her coworker.

"Room 210, third floor." The woman said. The young boy smiled at her and found his way towards the elevator, room number repeating through his head so he didn't forget.

The woman and her coworker frowned as they watched the young boy, but he quickly brushed it off.

He arrived at the third floor and meandered down the hallway, looking at the room numbers carefully. He stopped at room 210, and looked inside the bustling room.

Lots of doctors and nurses hustling around the room, whispering to each other in hushed tones, his mom and sister. Wait, were they crying?

Yes, they were. Sobbing in fact.

Nick looked at his father. He wasn't breathing.

Nick felt as his stomach turned as though he was on a roller coaster, his heart sped up as if he was watching a scary movie, he ears filled with the worried whispers of hospital staff.

His father was dead.

"I don't know what we're gonna find down here. Its the same as always." Griffin sighed, looking around for any clues that could help them figure this out.

"Yeah...." Harper  drifted off, squatted down and running her fingers through the spring water. Oh no. Here it goes again. Harper was having a vision.

The distorted, blurry sight and sound was coming back, leaving her enveloped in a world that wasn't quite her own just yet.

She saw the green fog floating as far as she could see all across the ground. She watched as Griffin screamed in fear and pain as he fell to the ground, his limp figure disappearing amidst the smoky ground.

Harper's vision suddenly returned to normal and she tried to steady her rough and heavy breathing. Griffin quickly jogged over to her, setting his hands on her shoulders.
