Kirito POV

I was on my way home hoping I wasn't going to be late for dinner, or else my fiancé Asuna was going to kill me if I was. It was a quick drive; only about 10 minutes. My watch read 7:02, while dinner is usually at 7:30.

"Only 6 minutes until I get home. I also should probably call Asuna to have her know that I wont be late tonight."

Riiiiinnnnggggg..... Riiiinnnnggggg......
Riiiiinnnnngggg...... "Hello?"

"Oh hey Asuna, I just wanted to tell ya that I won't be late for dinner tonight."

"Great! :) The table's just about ready."

"In fact, I'm just two blocks away."

"Good, everything will be ready by the time you get home."

"Awesome. So I'll see ya in a few."

"Alright. Bye!"

"Bye."

'Only a block away, Asuna's in a good mood, dinner's just about ready once I get there, and it's also movie night. Nothing could go wrong tonight.' I thought.

That's when I jinxed myself.

BAM! (This makes me feel like I'm
writing a comic book xd)

Asuna POV

"And there," I sighed. "Well, the table's set. And Kirito isn't going to be late again, so the only thing left is to wake up Yui."

And at that very second, I heard some burning rubber, and right after a giant crash. It sounded about a block away. Fear swelled up in my eyes.

'Oh no,' I thought. 'That couldn't be Kirito by any chance could it?'

That's when Yui came running out of her room. "Mommy! Mommy! Kirito's in trouble! I looked out the window, and his car crashed with the Robinsin's family car!"

'Dammit Kirito! And it was turning out to be such a wonderful evening too!' I thought to myself as I dashed out of the house. With Yui right behind me, the two of us ran at full speed towards the sound of the crash.

Kirito POV

It was all so fast.

All so sudden.

And so very unexpected.

I opened my eyes, and found myself in an empty room. There was a sign that said Kirigaya Kazuto in chalk on a small board pinned to the door.

"Oh thank goodness, you're finally up!"

I turned my head to the right realizing that the room wasn't empty after all. There was a girl, looking about my age, with long, orange-brownish chestnut hair and hazel eyes. She had joy in her eyes as she stared at me with a big smile.

Asuna POV

I was so relieved when I saw Kirito open his eyes. I couldn't believe that he was unconscious for a whole two weeks. Many of the nurses gave up hope, but I knew he would wake up one day.

"Tell me Kirito," I started. "How are you feeling?"

"Before I answer any of your questions, you have to answer mine first."

"Uh, ok then. Ask away."

"Who exactly-are you?"
