How did the prince figure it out? She had been extremely careful, making sure that she did not compromise her position. She tried to figure out where she had gone wrong. Has someone heard her conversation with Fatima? Did anyone out her? Who?

Her brain ran while her eyes watched the prince. It was then she had realized that the prince was trying to trap her. He was trying to see if she would slip up and reveal any information she had on her kind. Or if she would admit that she was a Vishakanya herself. The prince had no solid evidence that she was a Vishakanya. He was trying to use intimidation and fear to single out the Vishakanyas.

"What makes you think that I am one?" Mohini asked, narrowing her eyes.

"I did not bed you. Therefore, it is only right to be suspicious that you are one."

"Suspicious of me? I do not think that you not bedding me is a good enough reason to assume that I am a Vishakanya. Maybe it is suspicious of you."

"Oh is it? Well then, prove it to me." The prince said, raising his eyebrow.

"How would you suggest I do that? By sleeping with you?"

"Exactly. But not with me; it's too risky is it not? Why don't you sleep with Darogha instead?"

"Mirza!" The Darogha exclaimed, fear making its way into his eyes.

"Why are you afraid? I thought it was your job to risk your life for the royal family. Are you betraying us now?" The prince said with a stone cold expression.

"Wha-No Mirza! I would never, I was just wondering if there is another way. It is too early to engage in this kind of behavior, is it not?"

"Not if we're trying to prove something."

Mohini cleared her throat,"Do I not get to have a say in this?"

If she were to sleep with the Darogha, there was no way he would survive. It would be revealed that she was in fact a Vishakanya and her life would end then and there.

"This is unfortunately the only way to prove if you are innocent or not." the Prince seemed downcast, was he feeling sorry for her?

Mohini closed her eyes and drew a breath, if she refused it would make the prince even more suspicious. If she slept with the Darogha, then she would be exposed, and death would be her only option.

"Are you sure there is no other way?" Mohini said, looking at the prince.

"Stop spewing nonsense and come here! You are a meager prostitute, you should be used to this! Women like you do not have a choice." The Darogha violently grabbed Mohini by her arm.

Mohini turned to meet his eyes, all she could see was lust. The earlier fear and apprehension that this man had shown the prince had vanished.

The prince stepped forward, grasping the Darogha's shoulder tightly.

"I do not think it wise to force the lady. If she does not want it then we must respect her choice."

Mohini had never felt more grateful for the Prince's presence in the chamber. However, if she did not do this then the prince would still be suspicious of her, and then there would be no way for her to get near him again. If she did go through with this then she would lose her life in the next minute.
