Skype is an messaging platform founded in 2003, allowing to chat with other people and more features (some of them are prior to 8.x) in old versions. Latest version of Skype Classic was 7.41.0.101, released in March 21, 2018 before discontinued in 2019. But before shutdown, it was giving you a second chance downgrading to 7.36 to staying on. Skype 8 lacks some features such as push to speak,old theme etc. Skype-to-Phone subscriptions are introduced in version 5, allowing you to making a call to a real phone instead of a Skype name.
