STAY

Stay, for some iced tea.
With mint so you say, stay
Sitting in my mother's den
The sight seems rightfully fair
"We're out of berries" I shy your way
"Let's walk to the mall if that's okay"
Match my prolong let's lift the veil
Blessed with faith while fate dictates
We go about our day...
Strawberry ice tea four hours late
"It's God's delay" he likes to say
I let him stay because his façade breaks,
Preying on me like June does May
