Heading back to the castle in the center of town, I let Potato out of his hiding place, so he floated up onto my shoulder.
"You want to see Venti, too?" I asked Potato, who nodded in response.
"I see, I guess that's alright." I said with a nod as I turned the corner.
I put my cloak back on so no one but Venti would know it was me who was traveling with a runey of all things, I headed inside.
"Hello again." I said with a grin.
"Aria, back again so soon?" Venti asked as she tilted her head.
"Yes, someone wanted to visit after all." I said, looking at Potato, who had decided to float over to Venti.
"Ah, Potato, was it?" Venti asked, earning a nod from the small Runey.
"Potato here wanted to check on you. I'm guessing he heard from the other Runeys that they hadn't seen you in a while." I said.
"Ah, I see. It makes sense, though. t
The farm hasn't been in use for a while." Venti said as she laughed a bit, feeling slightly guilty."That's true. Speaking of, do you plan on getting it running again?" I asked.
"Not until we get a new farmer. The last one left after the hurricane." Venti said with a sigh.
"Well, at least you still get trade here from the other kingdoms." I said.
"Yes, we're lucky for that. Otherwise, we'd be in trouble." Venti said, shaking her head.
"Anyways, tell me about your adventures lately! What have you been up to?" Venti asked.
"Well, for starters -" I stopped mid sentence, concerning Venti.
There were a lot of concentrated runes directly above us. Was it a monster of some sort?
No, It was too pure for that. It felt like millions of runes were gathered in a small area.
Magic then? It didn't seem hostile, at least.
"Is something wrong?" Venti asked, leaning forwards, in an effort to see my expression better.
"No, it's nothing." I said, shaking my head as the runes suddenly vanished from the area.
"Well, back to your story then!" She said excitedly.
"Fine, fine -"
It happened in a flash, a figure fell from the sky and landed on Venti's head, causing them to bounce down onto the floor in front of us.
Venti had also hit her head on the floor from the impact.
"That seriously hurt!" Venti said, not having lifted her head back up yet.
"Aria, what happened?" Venti asked, getting up.
"Someone just fell from the sky." I said as Potato hid inside of my hood, seemingly scared of the newcomer.
"You're kidding..." She said, looking at me.
I shook my head and pointed to the other side of her, where a girl in odd clothing was indeed now laying unconcious.
"You weren't kidding!" She yelled in disbelief.
"Why would I be?" I asked her.
"They aren't dead, are they?" She asked in concern.
Walking over, I sighed as I crouched down and checked the runes flowing around them.
"They're alive, just unconcious." I said, earning a sigh of relief from the dragon.
