Lily Bright, like Nick, is a child of the Magic Realm. Her true name is Ayla Lowella, heir to the power and destiny of the Lunar Warrior. Her mother was the Lunar Warrior before herself, Amaris Lowella. Amaris was a young woman when she became pregnant with Ayla, barely in womanhood. Ayla's godmother, Udonna, was very good friends with Amaris. When Amaris was thrown out of her home by her parents, she moved in with Udonna and Niella, Udonna's sister. Ayla's godfather, Leanbow, took Amaris and Ayla in like they were family.
But then the darkness came into power, and the Great Battle began. An army of the undead, led by a powerful warrior swarmed the land, setting their sites on the Human Realm and beyond. All seemed hopeless, when a small legion of brave and true wizards and warriors came forth, including Amaris. Against insurmountable odds, they battled heroically, they drove the evil back from the edge of the human world.
Ayla was given the task of leaving to the Human Realm with her godbrother, Bowen. Before she left, her mother gave her a necklace. So, while she may not remember the Magic Realm as she grew, she'd always have a token from her mother.
"Never take it off and always keep it with you. Remember I love you. Now go, go take care of Bowen," her mother has said.
Ayla was a young girl during the great battle, but she was clever. She knew Amaris was to be destroyed. She was born from the Light, but held the powers of the Dark. Being the Lunar Warrior, she had the range of all kinds of magic. Dark, Light, all things in between and around. The Master wanted that too. After Amaris rejected the Master, he had been after her ever since.
Amaris, Leanbow, and Niella casted a spell that sent the armies into the underworld. They sealed darkness inside the giant gates for all eternity and evil disappeared from the surface world. But with great victory comes great loss. The human world never knew there was a Great Battle or the sacrifices that were made to save them from destruction. Even to this day they live in peace. Totally unaware of what is about to awaken.
Now, Ayla and Bowen, or Lily and Nick, are heading towards Briarwood.
