"B-But I wanna come with you!" five year old Sonic begged his new caretakers he's been staying for a month, now.
"Sonic, I wish we could, we can't." Tom sighed, kneeling to the younger hedgehog's height, putting his hand on his shoulder. "We'll come back before lunch, okay?"
"...okay, Tom." the kid sighed.
"Don't worry, Sonic. We'll be back." Maddie said, hugging the little blue hedgehog.
When they left, Sonic, feeling lonely, remembered the day Longclaw died.
"Why did you leave me, Longclaw? I wanted to stay with you forever..." the five-year old sighed and nearly cried, trying to stay strong.
(Five-Year-Old Sonic)
Here comes a wave
Meant to wash me away
A tide that is taking me under
Swallowing sand
Left with nothing to say
My voice drowned out in the thunder
He then heads to his bedroom and sits on his bed.

He then curls up into a ball, not like a regular hedgehog, as tears came from his face once more.

And then, just like that, he cries, upset that he lost Longclaw.

The Erazor Djinn did this to him. With this flame of judgement he sacrificed for Sharha.
Now fourteen years old, Sonic gave up on crying. He remembered the day he was adopted. On his tenth birthday.
He began to sing the rest of the song he never finished.

Well, now that story is ending
He knew Sharha could hear him singing. But he wanted to go back to his adopted parents now!
He wanted to go home!

He runs his way through the Desert Odius, while singing, knowing he won't be silent and scared for the rest of his life.

He stops as time slows down, but it wasn't Time Break, until he saw an illusion of Erazor and flicks it, making it disappear.

He then runs away as he continues to sing.

He then sees the moon and stars, knowing it was time to head to the palace.

He stops singing, finally realizing he finally figures out the songs ending.
"Master?" he heard Sharha as she came out of the ring. "Is something wrong?"
"Sharha, we've been through this before. Don't call me 'master'. It's Sonic. Plus... yeah. Something is wrong." he sighed. "Just... ten years ago, I was taken in by a human couple after my caretaker died. I was bulled by others because I was a freak in their eyes, making me be quite and always hurtin' me. I remember singing the start at the song, but never finished it. I'm fourteen, I know. I'll be fifteen soon. I just... miss my adopted parents. They adopted me when I became ten on my birthday as a surprise." he then faces to the moon. "I wanna go home, but I can't let this world down. I can't let my home down. I won't be speechless when I face Erazor."
The genie smiled. "I-I understand. You have a family that loves you."
"Yeah. I'm willing to do anything for them. I've faced tougher foes before." he smirked, rubbing his nose. "This fight is for your world, my world and my family! I won't die trying."
The genie nods as she heads into the ring, with Sonic looking at the sky.
'I'll come home, mom and dad. I promise.' he thought before heading to his location.
