It was one of those nights in Beacon Hills when the moon broke through the clouds and bathed everything in a silvery light. The tension in the air was almost palpable as Isaac Lahey made his way to the McCall house. He hadn't slept properly in days, plagued by nightmares and the constant feeling of threat that wouldn't let him go. Tonight he would ask Scott for advice. Scott was not only his alpha, but also his friend, someone he could rely on.
Isaac reached the house and knocked on the door. It only took a moment for Scott to open it, a worried look on his face. "Isaac, what's wrong?" he asked immediately, his eyes scanning Isaac's face for any signs of injury or danger.
"I... I just need someone to talk to," Isaac stammered, and Scott stepped aside to let him in. They went into Scott's room, where the familiar posters and unmade bed seemed strangely normal.
"Sit down," Scott said, pointing to the chair next to his desk. "What happened?"
Isaac hesitated, his hands nervously playing with the hem of his shirt. "I have these nightmares, Scott. It's always the same. I see my father, and then I'm back in the basement, chained and locked up." His voice was shaking and he avoided looking into Scott's worried eyes.
Scott nodded slowly, his eyes full of compassion. "That's understandable, Isaac. You've been through a lot. It's okay to talk about it. I'm here for you."
Isaac looked up, surprised by the warmth in Scott's voice. "I know. But it feels like it's more than just dreams. Sometimes I think it's real."
Scott stood up and sat next to Isaac, placing a reassuring hand on Isaac's leg. "We will figure this out together. You're not alone. You have us. You got me."
The touch and the words gave Isaac a feeling of safety and security that he hadn't felt in a long time. "Thanks, Scott. That means a lot to me."
A faint smile crossed Scott's face. "Always, Isaac. No matter what happens, we will get through this. Together."
In that moment, Isaac felt a deep connection with Scott, a bond beyond anything he had ever experienced before. Scott wasn't just an alpha. He was someone who brought light to his darkest moments. He was someone he loved.
The night passed as the two talked about their fears, hopes and the future. When morning dawned, they lay cuddled up in bed and Isaac felt loved for the first time, just as he is. He had found someone he could trust and love.
