" CHARLOTTE , ARE YOU RIDING WITH TATUM TODAY ? "

HER MOM HAD THE MEMORY OF A SNAIL. BUT THAT was expected from her mother. She never remembered anything about her. She didn't remember what the name of her band was. She didn't even remember what time she had to be home from work. Not that she finally had her own car. Charlie was used to that. Which is why she barely told anyone that she was going to be home late, whatever the reason may be.

Charlie opened the refrigerator, quickly grabbing one of the mini bottles of orange juices before closing it back. Her mismatched converse cross over, leading the bleached blonde to pivot. There's a mini television set on the counter of the kitchen, her other two siblings eating with her so-called mom and dad.

"No, mom, I have my own car, remember?"

"Oh, that's right!"

Oh, that's right. She was starting to get sick of hearing that. But it was part of the routine. Charlie couldn't even stand to watch the sight of them eating at the kitchen table. "Eighteen year olds Casey Becker and Steve Orth were killed in Casey's home late last night."

"Oh my god," Charlie heard Tatum gasp out.

She doesn't turn, though. She keeps her eyes on the TV. Charlie knew Casey. She wasn't exactly the ideal person to be friends with. But she's seen her around. She sat across from her in her third and fourth period class. A sigh escaped Charlie's lips as she started to walk off, but she stopped in her tracks when she heard the following words.
