"With this hand, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way in darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine."

Atalie-
I wake up early and sigh at the headache and mild nausea that hits me. I drank a bit too much last night but I blame Obi for that. If he hadn't irritated me so much with his existence I wouldn't have needed the drinks. I dig around in my desk for a hangover remedy and drain the bitter liquid. I change into a simple blue dress and braid my bangs back away from my face before leaving my room. Obi and I used to have a room together but once things fell apart I moved into one of the rooms in the main medical building. There weren't any open in The Quarters anyway but I figured this would put me further away from him anyways. I can't believe I wasted six years with him, but perhaps that's what I get for marrying just a year into knowing him...
No one else is here in the building yet so I take my time opening the curtains to let in the glow of the rising sun and set the kettle to boil for tea. I'm sure with how bad off Garak and Lillith were last night, Garak will stumble in about three hours late. Shirayuki left with Prince Zen and the others last night to go to one of the forts so I won't see her for a few days. Ryuu, on the other hand, should be here in an hour. That gives me time to do some cleaning in the mean time. I unfortunately have counseling with Obi and the priest this afternoon. It's going to be dreadful and I want nothing to do with it, but if it allows me to be rid of Obi, then so be it.I finish the last task of sweeping the floors just as Ryuu walks in. He gives me an odd look before simply stating that I'm upset. I arch a brow and ask what he means but he doesn't give an answer. Of course not. He goes to head toward his work area but I step in his way and ask what he meant.
"You clean when you're upset, that's all."
"I do not and I'm not upset."
"When you and Obi split up, you spent four days scrubbing every inch of the buildings."
"It was dirty."
"Try again." He mumbles before making his way around me.
I stick my tongue out at his retreating back. Despite his age, he's been a really great colleague and someone I consider to be a friend. I do my best to keep him out of my marriage issues though because he is a bit young to have to deal with that. Garak, however, is my closest friend and confidant, though she's close to Obi as well. She's done well with keeping our business separate so far. She does think our desire for divorce is stupid though and thinks we should somehow work through our issues. I don't think that's possible and I don't think either of us are interested in that. It seems it's Prince Zen's desire too but he's going to be disappointed when even the priest says we should be apart.Counseling begins in an hour and I want nothing more than to not go. The day's gone by rather quickly considering a group of guards had a sparring session that got a little out of hand and seven of them had to come see us. I understand training but if you get hurt you hinder yourself for awhile. Obi has always been a highly skilled fighter but there were times he'd come home to me with some form of injury or would pass out from exhaustion. I always worried when he'd be sent out for days or weeks on end...
I try desperately to hide the scowl threatening to show through as my eyes glare daggers toward Obi who is leaning against the wall across from me doing the same thing but his scowl is showing through. I make a quiet comment that we're supposed to be on our best behavior for the priest and he sticks his tongue out at me.
"I don't see the priest anywhere do you?" He shoots back and I smirk as the door opens silently beside him.
"We should still behave." I hum.
"I will when he's around, until then I will tell you that you annoy me and I want nothing to do with this."
"Hello Atalie and Obi, I presume?" The priest speaks up and Obi shoots me a quick glare before plastering on a fake smile.
"Hello Father, it's good to see you." I tell him and reach out my hand to shake as I stop in front of him."It's good to see you too Child, let's get settled in and we'll begin."
I subtly kick Obi in the shin behind the elderly man's back as we follow him into the office. This poor man has no idea what he's in for.
