"Welp, looks like we have the whole day to do whatever we want." Kirishima smiled sheepishly while rubbing the back of his head.
"Are you sure you don't need rest?" Y/N asked.
"Yeah, I'm sure. I've done enough resting at Recovery Girl's office," Kirishima did a cross arm strech, "Anything you want to do?"
Y/N wasn't used to making decisions when she was with Bakugo, so she hesitated and nervously looked at the ground.
After waiting a little while for Y/N to respond, Kirishima could tell she felt under peer pressure.
"It's okay if you can't think of anything. Hmm," Kirishima put his hand to his chin as he thought of things to do, "Ooh, hey, there's a new amusement park that opened not too far from here. Do you wanna check it out?"
"Oh... sure."
"Unless there's something else you were thinking?"
"No no, the amusement park sounds great." Y/N had never actually been to an amusement park before, she's only ever seen them out of the corner of her eye or on the internet. Her father, nor Bakugo had ever even considered to go anywhere like that with her.
"Great! Let's go then." Kirishima smiled and opened the door.
"Now-?"
Kirishima turned back to face her, "Would you rather wait?"
"Um, no, we can go now.." Y/N responded quietly.
"Alright." Kirishima held out his hand.
Y/N felt that fluttery feeling in her chest again as she reached out, taking his hand.
"It'll be fun, don't worry." Kirishima reassured Y/N, noticing her anxiousness.
Kirishima guided Y/N out of their dorm room and toward the main entrance of the building. Y/N glanced to where Bakugo was sitting. He had already left. This gave her a sense of relief. She took in a deep breath through her nose and let it out through her mouth.
After the two of them had put on their shoes, they left for the amusement park. As they got close, Y/N could see the different rides towering in the sky. There was one that stood out the most though; the ferris wheel. It was the most recognizable, since it's usually what one would think of when picturing an amusement park. It looked much larger in real life.
Kirishima noticed the glimmer in her eyes as she admired the ferris wheel, "Do you wanna try that one first?"
"Oh- uh..." Y/N flinched a bit as he broke her trance, "which one?"
Kirishima grinned and chuckled a bit, "The one you were looking at." Kirishima subtly pointed towards the ferris wheel with a small nod of his head.
Y/N looked back at the ferris wheel. She watched the carts at the very top rock back and forth. It seemed scary. What if someone fell? A fall from that height would definitely be fatal.
She felt a small shiver down her spine. The height of its structure was intimidating.
"Are you okay?" Kirishima asked.
Looking back at Kirishima, Y/N saw the concern in his eyes.
"Yeah. Yeah, I'm okay." She didn't want to make things difficult for him. She knew she had already been a burden to too many people. And after all that Kirishima had done for her, that was the last thing she wanted,"We can try the ferris wheel... if that's what you want to do."
"Alright." Kirishima still felt that Y/N was uneasy about something, but couldn't tell what it was, "Try to enjoy yourself okay? You've put so much pressure on yourself lately. Bakugo isn't here, you don't have to worry about him."
