Chapter 46

Victor's pov

Everything has been going so well with Christopher I can't even believe this is real. I gave him a promise ring recently and he accepted it which made me happy. We have been going on alot of vacations and dates and believe it or not I'm still learning new things about him everyday.

All our friends were currently over at our house including Romero and Amari. We have gotten pretty close over the months and they were even invited to Oliver and Jame's wedding which was 3 months ago. Oliver's brides mates were Christopher, Evan, Amari and one of his other friends from high-school while James groomsmen were me, Rayn , Devon and even Romero.

We were sitting around the table eating when my phone rang. "baby answer it " said Christopher after he noticed I didn't want to to answer it. "but baby we are having lunch"."love just answer it... It might be important ". I checked the caller ID before standing up and leaving the roon to answer the call. "hello " I said annoyed. "Victor where are you" he asks panicked.

I had decided to forgive him because weather I liked it or not he is my brother and I can't just cut him off. "I'm at home why ". I answered. "Victor you need to get the fuck out of there right now "he said hastily. As we are talking on the phone I hear commention coming from the house and I dismissed it until I heard sounds of gun fire. I quickly ran into the house and grabbed a gun from my stash on my way in to shoot at the intruder.

I shot at all the unfamiliar faces I saw and watched them drop dead. All throughout this all I could hear were loud screams and cries of fear and pain. I couldn't shake them off because they were from the subs but Christopher's voice stood out more. The commotion went on for a while until all gun fire stopped.

"is everyone okay "I asked as I got closer to look at everyone. I noticed that Devon was shot on the arm and as I kept scanning everyone I landed on Christopher and my blood ran cold. "no were not okay Christopher is shot" screamed Evan while panicking. I stood there frozen unable to even think. " somebody call an ambulance "said Oliver crying.

"No I'll handle it "said James standing up to call someone on his phone. Everything was happening so fast but my mind was processing it so slow. It felt like everything was in slow motion. " Victor snap out of it "said James shaking me. " call for help j-james CALL FOR HELP "I said starting to process the situation at hand.

I'm usually the most composed and clear minded one of us all when such things happen but today the love of my life got shot and I just froze. "calm down vic I've called for medical help they are coming " as James said that our personal medical staff pulled up and entered taking Christopher out on a stretcher. My coward self didn't even look towards them to see where Christopher was shot. all I knew was that it's somewhere fatal as there was alot of blood around him and he was passed out.

I got my car keys and before I could leave for the headquarters I told James to have this mess along with the bodies cleaned up. I went to the headquarters right after and headed straight to the medical wing. I stood outside the operation room pacing around and crying. All my employees were shocked as they barely saw me cry.

4 hours later

"Hey man" said James. "hey " I said quietly. My voice was coarse from all the crying. "Hey vic" said Oliver before hugging me tightly. "hi oli " I answered hugging him back. "how's it going " asked James. "he's been in there James the are no updates from the doctors and nurses. I'm beginning to worry James what If some thing happens to him him "I said beginning to cry all over again.

Had it been anyone else like maybe James or Oliver I would be worried to death but I wouldn't cry. But the fact that it's the love of my life in there I'm honestly defeated. "hey hey don't think negatively okay Christopher is one of the strongest people I know. He's been through so much and everytime he makes it out just fine. I know he'll be okay " said Oliver.

Right after our little conversation everyone else arrived and it is clear thst Amari and Evan had been crying on the way here. We sat outside the operation room in silence. After 2 more hours a doctor came out looking exhausted. I immediately stood up and asked him what happened and if Christopher it's okay.

"this is one of the shots that could have killed him. They shot him on this side and just missed the liver by a few inches. He almost didn't make it I mean the amount of blood he lost was alot but he was a fighter " said the doctor smiling. "can we see him " I asked taking my first breath of fresh air.

"yes but he's still sleeping he might wake up after a few hours also I recommend only one person see him at a time I don't want him to get overwhelmed when he wakes up " said the doctor. "Vic you can go in we'll wait for him until he's ready to see everyone else " said Evan.

I went into the room that he was in and sat on the chair near his bed. I looked at he's usually Tanned rosy cheeks. They had turned pale along with the rest of his body and face and even with that he still looked beautiful. I sat by his side then eventually fell asleep from all the exhaustion.

I woke up from a loud sounds of painful groaning and moaning . I quietly sat down up and noticed that my baby had been awake. I pressed the button to call a doctor before telling him to lay down. The doctor came and checked on him. After deeming him healthy he left us alone.

"baby how are you feeling "I asked worriedly. "I'm I'm pain"he said with a pout while crying softly. "I know love and I'm so so sorry baby I wish I could take away the pain " I said crying too because he was in pain and it was my fault. After giving him water and food he slept again.
