Chapter 1// The Beggining

"They're dead" Maryse Lightwood said to me when she came through the door. I had mixed feeling s about this I hated my parents because- "and now you can either stay with us at the institute or we can bring you too the clave so they can deal with where you will be saying"
"I'll just stay with you" I told her "I don't really like the clave and besides what's the worst that can happen"

3 years later
"DAMIT JACE" I woke you to the sound of Alec yelling at Jace
"What's wrong Alec are you cold?" Jace tested I could fell him smirking through the door. I groaned getting out of my bed '7:37' read the clock on my night stand. Getting out of the bed I opened the door.
"It's 7-" I didn't get to finish because as soon as I walked out of the room I was met by Jace holding Alec's cloth in his and and Alec with only his towel. I look at Alec who was blushing, ugh he's so gay no I mean really he is but only me and izzy knew it was completely obvious but what ever. Too annoyed to laugh I went over to Jace took Alec's cloth from his hand and handed them back to Alec. Getting a groan from Jace in response. I don't understand why I'm always the mature one I'm 2 years younger than Alec who is 18 and 1 years younger than Jace who is 16. (A/N let's pretend you'll see why)
"Why do you always have to ruin the fun" Jace said walking out of the room. I looked over to Alec who was still blushing.
"Thanks" he said walking back into the bathroom just as Izzy came out of her bedroom looking perfect as always. She was wearing a short black dress with an at lest 3 inch heal boots. I always envied her perfectly straight long black hair and her dark brown yes. She was tall at least 5'9 and had perfect skin. On the other hand I had annoying curly hair black that took at least 40 minutes to straighten and really bright green eyes that pissed me off because it made my pale skin look lighter. I'm also really short I'm 5'4.
"Good morning" she said as she approached me, "what did I miss" I looked at her and went back to my room. When I got there I went to my dresser and got out plain black skinny jeans, a plain black top and, a black and red flannel. I like black. I went to the bathroom expecting it to be empty but no Alec was still in there.
"By the Angel Alec if you're not out her in 10 seconds I will kick down this door" I told him banging on the door. Alec opened the door dressed in his Shadowhunter gear with a tooth brush in his mouth. "Erg" I said turning arond to walk down stairs. When I got there I was greeted by Jace,
"Hello curly" he said ruffing my already messing hair
"I'm sorry I don't look perfect for you babe" I told him "Alec was in the bathroom taking his sweet ass time!" I said the last part louder so he could hear me.
"Fuck you!" I heard Alec say which was weird because he never curses but whatever. I went over to the fruit bowl and grabbed a banana I turned around and saw Jace smirking. I put the banana down and grabbed an apple. I stuck out my tongue at him and went to the library. I've always loved the library it's a calming place. The smell if books hit me as soon as I walked in bitting into my apple I walked down the isle or books looking for one that interest me. When I found one I sat down and started to read after about 30 minutes Alec came down
"The bathroom is now yours he said smirking" I closed the book and put it back.
"Why thank you princess" I said bowing as I passed him. Walking into the bathroom I found the straightener and plugged it in. After about 30 minutes I was finished and brushed my teeth and walked out. Walking down the stairs instead of walking into the kitchen I yelled "I'm going out be back in an hour!" To my surprise Maryse walked out
"Oh no you aren't" she said
"Oh, um.. Hello Maryse" I said to her "why can't i?" I asked following her into the kitchen
"Because we have to go to Idris" she said
