Kiyomi got out of her car and sighed heavily. She now stood in front of the Paramaanantra's mansion. The one and only Roselyn Paramaanantra had personally asked her for her visit.

The guards greeted and opened the gate as Kiyomi gave back a small smile and entered the gates. She walked towards the main door and sighed again before ringing the doorbell. Within a few seconds, the head of the Paramaanantra family, Roselyn Paramaanantra, opened the door. Beside her stood a man and a cold-looking Thyme.

❝Otosan? ❞ Kiyomi exclaimed, shocked to see the person she never imagined would be here. (If you've already forgotten, Kiyomi is half-Japanese, and Otosan means Dad in Japanese)

❝Oh, my little girl, you're so grown up now. Look at you, so beautiful. ❞ Roselyn pulled Kiyomi into a hug, softly patting her back.

❝Thank You, Auntie, you too look as young as I remember. ❞ Kiyomi smiled as they broke the hug and Roselyn smiled back at the compliment.

❝Otosan, what are you doing here? When did you arrive? ❞ Kiyomi asked her dad as the maid took off her blazer.

❝I just arrived a few minutes ago, and today we are all gathered here to discuss something very important, ❞ Mr. Amari said, sitting in the dining room. Soon the maids were going in and out of the dining room, bringing varieties of delicacies. ❝Let's all dig in before discussing, shall we? ❞ Roselyn smiled.

❝Oh, this all looks so good❞ Kiyomi said, observing every dish.

❝Haha, so glad you liked it. You remind me of your mother when you see food. ❞ Roselyn smiled, making Kiyomi nod in response.

Kiyomi, from the corner of her eyes, eyed Thyme, who was sitting in front of her just to find him already staring at her. For a brief moment, Kiyomi stared directly into his cold eyes with her emotionless eyes before looking down at her food again.

❝Kiyomi, are you ok? Why are your eyes so red? The same goes with you too, Thyme, ❞ Roselyn asked. Anyone present in that room could see their bloodshot red eyes and puffy eyes and, as much as they both tried to hide it with their sunglasses, they had to remove it while eating.

❝Oh, it's nothing. Just the air is so dry nowadays, so, yeah ❞ Lie. Anyone who lived in the same place as her would know that the air wasn't dry at all, rather it was soft and chilly. Kiyomi tried her best to smile and hide her eyes by looking down at her food.

❝Oh, okay. And what about you, Thyme? ❞ Roselyn asked, turning towards her son, who was staring at Kiyomi, not blinking even once.

❝Just a little allergy. ❞ Thyme replied before moving his gaze from Kiyomi to his food. Both Roselyn and Hayato (Kiyomi's dad's name) raised their eyebrows at their children's unusual behaviour but just decided to shake it off.

❝Otosan, are you staying in Thailand? ❞ Kiyomi asked, looking at her father.

❝I'll be leaving for Japan right after this meal, ❞ he said, not looking up from his food.

❝But it's already nighttime. Why don't you stay the night at ho--❞

❝I have a meeting tomorrow morning, ❞ Mr. Amari said coldly, not letting Kiyomi finish her words.

❝O-oh, ok, ❞ Kiyomi quietly said before continuing to eat her food.

Kiyomi could feel Thyme's cold give on her the entire time. It made her want to just shove his eyes in the food and make him go blind, but she just decided to ignore it. Suddenly, in the middle of the meal, Roselyn stood up from her chair and softly clung to her wineglass with a fork, gaining all the attention. They all kept their utensils down and looked at the smiling Roselyn.
