"What's your name sweetheart?"
His voice..it was Young once again.

"P-Peyton" a small child's voice stutters
His face was without wrinkles.

"Well Peyton, how would you like to take a ride in a police car? front seat"
His breath was without the bitter smell of alcohol.

"Can I!!!??"
His hair, full of color... no longer gray.
He chuckled, it was so soft yet so full. He picked up the small child and put her in his passenger seat.
The sound of sirens slowly faded into the sound of an alarm clock

*BEEP*
*BEEP*
*BEEP*
*SMACK*
I slam my hand down on my alarm, yawning as I tiredly sit up. My back cracks as it realines itself. Groggily wiping the sleep from my eyes as I look around my room, the only thing I can see is the faint moonlight pouring in through my blinds.

"Why do I have to get up so early?!"I cry out
I slide out of the bed, the floorboards groan underneath my feet as I make my way to the closet skimming through my clothes picking out an oversized hoodie and ripped jeans. I don't normally have to wear my suit unless I'm going out to a crime scene so I might as well get comfy. After getting dressed I stumble tiredly to the kitchen grabbing a granola bar before hopping into my car, I quickly start it up and make my way to the station. In recent months Hank has been skipping work and spending the nights in bars so I wasn't expecting him to be there today... Although I can't help but to hope. Parking my car I see that Hank has not arrived and probably won't be in. Walking in I see that only a few people are sitting at their desks, probably night owls finishing up their work. As I'm walking to my office that I share with Hank I'm greeted with a startling shout.

"Peyton! In my office!"

"Oh great"-I mutter as I make my way to his office

"What's up, Jeffrey?"

"I have some news and I see your father isn't here.....again" he looks annoyed.
Jeffery was the only one who called Hank my father during work but I didn't mind. It took me a bit to see him as my father figure but seeing that I was 8 when it all happened it would only make sense to need some time to warm up to him.

"Yeah he hasn't answered any of my texts yet, I'm sorry about him." I hang my head in embarrassment.

"That's alright, it's not your job to get him here on time."

" Anyways the news..."he waves his hand in the air dismissing the topic.

"You guys have been assigned an android to help you with the new cases that I have assigned you and your father involving deviated androids."
There's a long pause as I stare at him in disbelief.

"Jeffery-"

"Yes I know I know." he sighs

"He's not going to like this one bit!"

"He doesn't get a say. Maybe if he came in on time or showed up to work everyday I wouldn't have to assign you guys to this thing!"

I place one hand on my hip moving the other to my forehead sighing in frustration.

"I'm guessing you want me to break the news to him?"

"I think it would be best"

There's a small pause.
"When will they be here?"

"It'll.. be here soon."
I feel a bit embarrassed as he corrects me.

"I'll go look at the cases in the meantime and wait a little longer just in case Hank is for some reason actually on his way."

"Ok but don't wait too long. I doubt he's going to show."
I nod to him before leaving his office. I sigh heavily as my brain tries to think of a way to break the news to Hank. turning to the hallway, I walk down to my office doors and open them. The first thing I notice is Gavin leaning on my desk.
