CHAPTER 5

MAYA POV~~

After washing and drying my hands, I started to dig in my bag for my red lipstick, for the first time I wore a short red dress that was to my mid thigh, and black so Kate heels.

After I finished applying my lipstick, I made sure that I looked good and clean.

I opened the bathroom door, and started to walk to the ballroom, before I could get there I heard two people arguing.

I look behind me to the room that the sound was coming from, I walk slowly though the hallway, to the room I started to peak inside.

I saw an older man maybe in his 50s arguing, with the man the I bumped into earlier.

Then the man pulled gun and pointed it to the older man and shot him without even thinking twice, I stood there in shock and mortified.

And then I started to walk slowly back to the  ballroom, and I didn't notice a vase, then I knocked it over, I looked behind to see the the man was standing staring at me, I looked at him and then turned starting to run in my heels towards the ballroom.

I got there and saw mother and father, and said "when will we be leaving father??", he looked at me with anger and said "actually now, and don't touch me!!".

I started heading to the front door as fast as I can, I open the door and someone's hand from behind me is placed it top of my head and closing the door.

A shiver runs through my body because I knew who it was, I feel a warm breath hit the back of my neck, then he pulls me away to the side, and looked me died in my eyes, then someone calls his name from behind to, he turns.

And I took that as an opportunity to open the door as fast as possible and run to the car, I looked behind to see him standing watching me run from him.

I got in the car and said to the driver "quickly drive", "but Ms. Mandel, Mr. Mand-", I interpreted the driver saying "it doesn't matter just get me home please, I will give you money, a house, a car, anything just drive".

Then the car started moving and I felt a sense of relief, I made it out this party alive.
