Karina's outfit is above!

chapter six.

Karina opened her front door and was surprised to see Bonnie. "Bon?"

"I need to talk to you." Bonnie said and Karina could hear the pleading tone in her voice.

Karina opened the door wider for her to enter, Bonnie smiled and walked inside. Bonnie greeted Karina's family that was in the living room, it was clear that they were watching TV.

"Did I come at bad time?" Bonnie asked her confused.

"No." Karina assured her before looking at her parents. "We're going into the basement."

Aurora and Andrew nodded their heads, knowing that it was Karina's way of saying they were going to talk supernatural things away from William's curious ears.

One day William would learn this stuff, but that wasn't going to be now.

Karina led Bonnie downstairs and flicked on the lights, Bonnie looked around in awe at the sight of the library built down there. There were rows upon rows of grimoires inside and when Bonnie dared to reach out, she instantly retracted her hand when she felt as if she had been burned.

"What was that?" Bonnie gasped as she held her hand close to her chest.

Karina glanced at her from over her shoulder after lighting sage and concealing their conversation, "A protection spell, it's one of my own creations. I have it placed around the entire house, and I enchant it onto every piece of jewelry my family wear including the one I gave to Jeremy and Jenna."

"What does it do exactly?" Bonnie asked her curiously as Karina grabbed a book from the shelf.

"Protect them, so let's say a vampire tries to attack them then it'll inflict a powerful aneurysm on them." Karina explained, "And if it's a witch then it'll create a magical barrier around them that no magic can get through."

Bonnie gave her an amused look, "No magic? Really?"

Karina smiled and nodded, "You may be a Bennett witch and come from a powerful lineage but so do I Bonnie. The Clark Coven has far more recognition than the Bennett's and I'm not even entirely sure what my purpose is as the last descendant who wields magic."

"And like I promised you alongside my Grams, we'll figure it out." Bonnie said with a small smile before letting out a breath and pulling out a journal. "I found this in my Grams things, and it mentions your coven."

Karina sat down beside Bonnie on the floor, she leaned close to the witch as she opened the journal. "Really? How much?"

"It says here how my ancestor Morana Bennett met someone named Oriana Clark and the two made a vow." Bonnie explained as she read from the journal. "Oriana and I made a vow, a vow that will travel through our generations between our covens. Should one coven be in need then the other will offer a helping hand and vice versa, our friendship will carry on through time and should our descendants meet again, they'll know."

Karina looked at Bonnie as she finished reading and the two held out a hand towards the other. Now, Karina and Bonnie had held hands numerous times since Karina's return to society, but Bonnie wasn't in tap with her magic at those times. This time things were different, both girls were in tune with their magic and somehow knew this was the way to go.

"So, mote it be." The two girls spoke softly in sync as their magic connected and they felt it.

It was like a surge of magic shot through them, their magic resonated within one another, and it wasn't an uncomfortable feeling. It was warm and welcoming. The two girls let out a small giggle when the feeling faded, only leaving a lingering promise between the two.
