Six months had passed since Derek Parks had been sentenced to death row, and in that time, a sense of peace had settled over my life. The shadow of his crimes no longer loomed over me, and I was free to embrace the future with open arms.

On a sunny afternoon, I found myself slipping into littlespace, the familiar comforts of my pacifier and blankie soothing my soul. Dani watched over me with a smile, her love a constant presence in my life.

As I reveled in the joy of innocence, Dani's hand found mine, her touch grounding me in the present. "You're so beautiful, Naomi," she said softly, her voice filled with warmth and affection.

I blushed at her words, feeling a surge of happiness welling up inside me. With Dani by my side, I felt safe and loved, free to be myself without fear or judgment.

When I emerged from littlespace, Dani suggested we go on a date, just the two of us. I eagerly agreed, eager to spend time with the woman who had stolen my heart.

As we strolled hand in hand through the park, laughter bubbling up between us, I felt a sense of contentment settle over me. With Dani by my side, the future seemed brighter than ever before.

Months passed, and our love only grew stronger with each passing day. We spent our evenings curled up on the couch, watching movies and sharing secrets, our bond deepening with every whispered word.

On a crisp autumn afternoon, Dani suggested we visit my mom, Rosie. I hesitated at first, unsure of how she would react to seeing me after everything that had happened. But Dani reassured me, her love a steadfast beacon in the darkness.

As we walked through the door of my childhood home, I was met with tears of joy from my mom. "I've missed you so much, Naomi," she said, pulling me into a tight embrace.

I returned her hug with equal fervor, feeling a sense of warmth and acceptance wash over me. With Dani by my side, I felt ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, knowing that I was surrounded by love and support.

One day, as we walked hand in hand through the park, Dani stopped suddenly, her eyes shining with emotion. "Naomi," she said, dropping to one knee, "will you marry me?"

I felt my heart skip a beat as I looked into her eyes, seeing the love and devotion shining there. "Yes, Dani," I said, tears of joy streaming down my cheeks. "Yes, I will marry you."

With a smile that lit up the entire world, Dani slipped the ring onto my finger, sealing our love with a promise of forever. And as we embraced, the weight of the past fell away, leaving only the promise of a bright and beautiful future together.
