minho holds his breath, taking hasty, shaky steps towards the bar.

he makes a tactical move and sits one stool away from his target.
he doesn't make it obvious he's trying to get his attention, but stays within his peripheral to keep him intrigued.

can i get you anything to drink?
the man behind the counter asks; he's adorned in tattoos and face piercings, the black shirt he's wearing does nothing to hide the muscles underneath.
if it was for the bright smile that reaches his eyes, minho would've been intimidated.
just water is fine.
he answer, giving the bartender a soft smile.

the man nods, turning his back for less than a minute, quickly returning with minho's water.
he gives him a small smile before leaving to deal with far drunker customers.

he takes a large sip of the cold beverage; he sighs satisfied.

he takes a subtle glance at his target, thinking about how he should go about this; he looks burnt out and exhausted― minho sympathizes with him.

he just about finished his third glass of water and made no progress.
he drops his head onto the bar counter, letting out a frustrated groan.

what's got you so stressed out?
a voice not too far from him asks.
he pulls himself up from the counter, turning towards the direction of the voice.

his eyes widen ever so slightly, surprised to see the very cause of his stress looking at him with intrigue.

his opens and closes his mouth repeatedly, trying to find something to say, very tempted to say 'you'.

i can't exactly say.
he settles with, giving the male a faux apologetic smile.
well, what can you say?
the male presses, downing a shot before resting his elbow on the bar, his hand propping up his head, his attention solely on minho.

god, where do i start...
minho mutters to himself, looking up at the thinking deeply about what information he can reveal to the male without giving himself away.

my life just hasn't turned out the way i expected it too.
minho sighs in exasperation; let the pity pary commence!
i was perfectly content with just staying with my grandmother in japan. i had a job, i had friends, my grandmother was the sweetest and most understanding person i knew ―i didn't have a car, but that doesn't matter― i was happy.
minho sighs, feelings of nostalgia and bitterness looming over him.

but now i can't even leave the house unless someone accompanies me. i've never felt more out of place and alone. they took away my phone and basically banned me from having any outside contact.
he continues, gritting through his teeth.
he hadn't been able to talk about this less than ideal situation with anyone since they took away his phone, so finally voices his opinion on all of this makes him realize just how angry he's been.

and i can't even be mad at them about it because it's my own fault. if i just minded my own fvcking business, or even just told the truth i wouldn't be in this situation.
minho concludes, frustrated, not at chris and the other guys, but at himself.

i understand how you feel.
the male responds; minho turns his attention to back towards him, his eyes laced with sympathy.
really? how so?
minho asks, a little skeptical.
it wouldn't be smart of me to talk about that here, can we go somewhere private?
the male asks; he's making minho's job so much easier.
