It was 10:30 PM when the party ended. I was exhausted. "Can I go to bed yet?" I asked my mom. "Wow, I have never heard that before!" She said. "But ok".
I walked slowly up the old creaky stairs to my room. It literally felt like walking to my room was actually walking from my house to the store. Once I saw my bed I fell into it like melting chocolate lying in my warm mouth. "Ahhh finally Rest In Peace!" I softly said to my stuffed animal horse I named Coco. Around about 10:40 PM I was asleep for the entire night. I didn't think that I was going to get up until at least 7:00 when we would go downstairs to open our Christmas presents!
I fell into a deep deep sleep and woke up to the smell of pancakes and bacon. I looked over at the clock finding out that is was already 7:15. "Oh My Gosh" I said to Coco "It is past 7:00 we have got to get going." I raced down the stairs like a cheetah catching its prey. When I reached the bottom I was so excited to find out what I got this year from Santa and from my mom and dad. I went straight to the presents and sat there staring at them. "Sara what are you doing?" asked my mom "Sitting here waiting to open my presents" I said excitedly "Ok fine" she said "We will open them before breakfast" "OH YEAH FINNALY!!'" I yelled "But only if you quiet down" she said "You got it" I said quietly
The first present I opened was a bridle for a horse. I was confused for a minute and then I opened a present which had riding clothes in it. Then, more clothes and a saddle for a horse. After I finished opening all of my presents I figured out mostly everything I had gotten was for a real live horse! "Mommy" I said "How come everything I got is for a horse?" "I don't know" she said. "Come on bring your riding stuff I want you to show Grandma Lucy." "Ok" I said
I ran upstairs to get my stuff. Then, I jumped into the car. "Let's hit the road" said my dad. When we finally got there I ran inside until I realized that this was not Grandma Lucy's house, this was a horse farm. "Hey Mom did Grandma Lucy move to a farm?" I said "No but I have a surprise for you" She said as she grabbed my jacket and ran inside. When she stopped it literally felt like I was going to pass out. Standing in front of me was the most beautiful horse I have ever seen. "Is it a boy or girl?" I asked with excitement "It is a little girl" said my mom "She is 2 years old"
