Enjoy!
Hail had never seen Aidans eyes before. It sounded strange, yet oddly true. The boy would not ever push hair out of his face nor even move it out of the way so he could see what they were learning.
It certainly sparked curiosity in to Hail. Why was he hiding them?
Hail felt a longing to know. He wanted Aidan to trust him. To like him.But this thought seemed absurd to him. Why would Aidan show him? When he deserved so much better? He couldn't even tell whether Aidan remembered their past. Sure, he didn't either but it was curious. Did he know? He slightly wished he didn't. For if something had happened between them in the past and he remembered, Aidan could feel differently towards him.
Hail could never quite tell. He would hit on Aidan from time to time however he'd look away. His palid face would go red. Perhaps that was just because Hail was annoying him.
Either way he hoped that this was not the case.
One sunny morning the two were chatting fondly. And Hail decided to do something that ruined there friendship. He risked it.
"Aidan can I- See your eyes if that's okay with you?" Aidan hesitated looking at Hail. He seemed to have notice no malice nor hatred was hidden behind those eyes. Aidan grew the same shade of red he always did."Sure, just please don't tell anyone and I'm sorry if I scare you." Aidan said confusing Hail. Why would Hail hate him?
"I won't I'll be there for you no matter what." Hail reassured.
At this Aidan looked around to look the coast was clear. Then he lifted up his hair revealing his eyes. Hail gasped.
The sockets were a tint of yellow, a lighter version of his bright yellow eyes. Instead of regular pupils, he had slits. Looking at them were-spellbinding.
"There beautiful" Hail accidentally said aloud making him turn a similar colour to Aidan.
"Wait you don't hate me?" Aidan asked, cringing, yet taken aback.
"Of course not why would you think so?" Hail replied.
"Because- because I'm" Aidan started.
"The Scorpion?" Hail guessed looking to a fearful Aidan.
"How did you know?"
"It's kind of obvious ever since I saw you, I'm not scared of you though!" Hail added quickly before Aidan could object. "In fact I'm fine with you being like this."
"You shouldn't I'm a cold hearted beast!" Aidan exclaimed looking down now.
"That's not true at all if you were, I wouldn't love you." Hail said but soon realised what he had just confessed.
"You love me?" Aidan asked, his face unreadable.
"I- I'm sorry." Hail replied feeling afraid and lost. He had just gotten rid of the one who was there for him. Who he cared for most.
Hail slowly walked away though Aidan ran after. And then something magical happened.
The two kissed.
Hail was as taken aback as Aidan was of himself. Soon they fell in to each overs arms and embraced it. They then held hands and Hail gave a modest smile.
"How about we take this one step at a time?"
