Nadia Montgomery can still to this day remembered in detail how she lost her best friend and first love in a blink of an eye. She tries not to remember that day but it's burned into her memory, just like her love for both those two people.

It was the night of her best friend birthday party when Sharon and Vince got the call that their two children had been an accident. She couldn't believe the words that were coming out Sharon mouth, that her best friend had passed away or that her life had been cut way to short.

She remembers that night and the day of Riley's funeral. Riley's funeral was beautiful just like her. They used bright color flowers that they used to pick as kids. They showed pictures of Riley's life and memories in a slideshow that they would play at the beginning of her funeral.

Nadia remembers sitting there looking at the slideshow. She became lost in her thoughts that she hadn't realized that someone sat down right next to her until they put their hand on her shoulder

"Nadia, are you okay?", Nadia was pulled out of her thoughts and turned looking at the boy sitting next to her wasn't who she was expecting. She had hoped that Bode would show up for her sister funeral. He skipped town the night his sister died and hasn't been back since. The girl was starting to worry about him.

"Nadia?"

"Huh", she answered looking at Jake Crawford, Bode best friend.

"I asked if you were okay"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Have you talked to Sharon and Vince yet?", Nadia asked looking at Jake.

"No, haven't you seemed them yet. Are you sure you are okay?", Jake asked, very concerned about his best friend mental health.

"Yes, I'm fine. Why does everyone keep asking me that?, Nadia stated while looking mad .

"I'm making sure because we are burying your best friend today and the last conversation you had with Riley, wasn't very nice. You both said some pretty harsh things and now y'all can't take them back."

"I know Jake I was there but what about the words you and Bode exchanged. All four of us were arguing and two of them are gone. Did anyone else know about you and Riley?", Nadia said to Jake in a low vice, to make sure no one could hear them.

"No, did anyone know about you and Bode?", matching Nadia volume level while looking around to make sure no one was listening to there conversation.

"No and I would like to keep that way. Let's make a deal. You keep quiet about me and Bode. I will keep quiet about you and Riley. Sound good?", Nadia pleaded, just trying to make sure her secret remains a secret.

"Shouldn't we come clean and own up to our mistakes?"

"No, it will just do more harm than good. Look Riley is dead and Bode took off. There is no need to cause this family anymore heartbreak. We take this secret to our graves, Deal?" extending her hand towards the boy, hoping this would end this conversation.

"Deal", they both shook hands. As they turned forward watching Riley''s casket being lowed into the ground, hoping that this family will be alright.

Five years later, Jake and Nadia were still keeping the deal and no one had found out until a certain someone comes walking through the ER doors and spilled the beans. Now Jake and Nadia will now have to face the consequences of their actions.
