It was a typical rainy day at Hogwarts, the kind that made the castle's ancient stones seem even more dreary and the hallways more like a labyrinth. Hermione Granger, ever the diligent student, had taken refuge in the library, her nose buried in a particularly dense tome on advanced potion-making. Little did she know, her peaceful study session was about to be interrupted by none other than Draco Malfoy.

Draco, having just survived another less-than-thrilling Divination class, had decided to wander the library in search of some mischief. Spotting Hermione alone at a table piled high with books, a mischievous grin spread across his face. He sauntered over, his footsteps silent on the thick carpet.

"Granger, trying to read the entire library before graduation?" Draco teased, leaning casually against the table.

Hermione looked up, her annoyance palpable. "Go away, Malfoy. Some of us actually care about our education."

Undeterred, Draco spotted a small vial among Hermione's things. "What's this? Secret love potion, perhaps? Hoping to snag Weasley finally?"

"It's none of your business, Malfoy. It's a highly experimental potion for my studies," Hermione replied, snatching the vial away. But in her haste, the vial slipped through her fingers and crashed to the floor, releasing a cloud of shimmering pink mist.

"Oh, brilliant, Granger. What was that?" Draco coughed as the mist enveloped them.

Hermione's eyes widened in horror. "Oh no, it's my latest project. It's supposed to amplify emotions, but it's not been tested."

Before Draco could respond, he felt a wave of warmth wash over him, and suddenly, everything about Hermione seemed utterly fascinating. Her bushy hair appeared to him as radiant as the sun, and her eyes as deep as the ocean.

Hermaine, caught in the same spell, saw Draco's sneer soften into a charming smile, his usual pale complexion now ruggedly appealing.

"Malfoy, I—I think you look rather dashing today," Hermione stammered, her cheeks flushing.

Draco blinked, taken aback by his own thoughts. "And you, Granger, are... quite beautiful. Did I really just say that?"

They stared at each other, both horrified and amused by the effects of the potion. The library, once a place of quiet study, now echoed with their uncontrollable laughter.

"Imagine," Hermione giggled, "if we actually meant that!"

Draco, still under the potion's influence, replied, "Who says we don't? Maybe this potion is revealing the truth!"

Their laughter grew louder, drawing curious looks from a few other students. Eventually, the potion's effects began to wear off, and the awkward realization of their situation settled in.

"Look, Granger, let's agree to never speak of this," Draco said quickly, his usual sneer returning as he regained his composure.

"Agreed. This never happened," Hermione replied, her voice firm, though a small smile betrayed her amusement.

As Draco walked away, Hermione called out, "You know, Malfoy, you're not so terrible when you're not being absolutely insufferable."

Draco turned, a genuine smile breaking through his facade. "Same to you, Granger."
