As stated in the first part, shapes are vital to drawing.
I am going to show you how I was taught in a simple image that I suggest trying to draw:
Hands are divided into these common shapes, which can be used to draw them in any other position.
Take this picture of a cat for example, can you see the shapes it's made of?
Try using those shapes to draw it!
If you managed to get something similar to that, good job!
If you failed to see the shapes making it up, try tracing some more while taking into account how the thing you're drawing is shaped.
