Ben sits first, followed by Luke and Beau, and Chewbacca, the wookie, tells Ben he'll go to find their captain, and after sharing an uneasy glance among the others, Chewbacca returns with his captain. Chewbacca sits next to Ben, and the captain moves into the seat.He has a rugged look to himself, disheveled brown hair from all his apparent-adventures. He has a long sleeved white top that's half unbuttoned and a black vest over it. Just from first glance, Beau knows this guy will be full of himself.
"Han Solo," He introduces, nodding at the trio, "I'm captain of the Millennium Falcon. Chewie here tells me you're looking for a passage to the Alderaan system."
"Yes, if it's a fast ship." Ben adds quickly.
Han scoffs, a smirk to a his face as he shakes his head. "Fast ship? You've never heard of the Millenium Falcon?"
"Should we have?" Beau snarks in return, and Han turns to stare at him, Ben casting a warning glance at Beau. Han's gaze shifts back to the trio.
"It's the ship that made the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs. I've outrun imperial starships - not the local bulk cruisers, mind you." Han spoke, leaning forward in his seat with a grin. Beau glanced at Ben, wondering what kind of situation he was getting himself into. He was very hesitant in joining in. His family was here still. . . and Luke had mentioned Darth Vader. Beau did not want to run into Darth Vader in a million years. While his family was Empire affiliated, everyone was terrified of that man. If he was even a man.
"I'm talking about the big Corellian ships now. She's fast enough for you, old man?" Han boasted, and Beau had forgotten about Han's bragging until he came back to reality. "What's the cargo?"
"Only passengers. My self. . . these two boys. . . and two droids. And no questions asked." Ben stared Han down. Luke glanced at Beau, who pursed his lips together. He really was unsure of this now.
"You in some kind of local trouble?" Han laughs to himself, glancing back at Ben.
"Let's just say we'd like to avoid any imperial entanglements." Ben explained with as much of no-context as he could.
Han leaned back in his seat, folding his hands in his lap. He glanced at the patch on Beau's arm, before glancing at Ben, then Beau again, who hastily covered the patch with his hand. "Well, that's the real trick, isn't it? It's gonna cost you something extra. Ten thousand - all in advance."
Luke gasped next to him. "Ten thousand? We could almost buy our own ship for that!"
"Who's gonna fly it, kid, you?" Han snorts, rolling his eyes.
Luke scowled and leaned forward. "You bet I could! I'm not such a bad pilot myself." In a moment of annoyance, he turned to Beau and Ben. "We don't have to sit here and listen to this-!"
Beau clasped a hand to Luke's mouth and hissed at him to shut up as Ben heaved a sigh and continued. "We can pay you 2,000 now. Plus 15 when we reach Alderaan."
"Seventeen?" Han nodded, considering the price. He smirked at the thought. "Okay, you guys got yourselves a ship. We'll leave as soon as you guys are ready - docking bay 94."
"Ninety four." Ben nodded. Beau huffed and pulled his hand away from Luke.
"Looks like somebody's beginning to take an interest in your handiwork." Han commented, glancing over their shoulders. Beau and Luke turn around to see the stormtroopers questioning the bartender, who reaches across and points at their booth. The stormtroopers turn and stare directly at them.
"Shit, let's go!" Beau hissed, urging the group out of the booth. Quickly and quietly, they run out around the back, hoping Han will cover for them. Ben had pulled his hood over his head as they made their way across the sand dunes once again, and Beau grimaced at the brightness of the light as his eyes had gotten adjusted to the sun.
