I picked her up slowly, timidly. I was careful, so damn careful not to wake her up. My soul did not want her to miss an ounce of sleep too. I lay her beside the marbles, the sink making a shadow on her sleeping face. She is so simple. It's simple enough to make my heart skip a beat. Simple enough to make me risk my life.

I made sure not to make a noise when I stepped out of the restroom.

The airport was eerily silent. I walked shallowly, in the corridor, not making any sound, Then lights were on, and so were the advertisement boards but, there was no life in this airport...no life.... the scents of rotten and death clouded my nostrils, and I felt creeped out. I finally came to the bench where I kept my cabin bag before using the restroom.

I sighed in relief when I saw it there, tho the bench was covered with blood. and flesh.

I glanced at my surroundings once, and my eyes paused on a dead figure...walking. Its flesh tore away from its bone, dried blood on flesh.... the ribs...I closed my eyes...

Even with my eyelids closed, my mind flashed images of its rib cage, bone and flesh, skin tore, and...I opened my eyes

I slowly pulled my bad behind me and walked through the corridor as if there were no blood stains staring at me.

If she wasn't there, this blood could have been mine too.

I opened the door and locked it.

I checked it thrice, before turning against it and sighing.

Panda express. I need it. Badly.
