Cold.

Dark.

Silent.

Woodchips and dry leaves crackle underfoot. My ears feel like they're freezing. Why did I choose this pain on myself?

A gush of wind goes by me and I hiss, my tail fluffing up. How far out is this shack?

I don't think she expected 'twelve' to be twelve as in midnight. I mean, I didn't either, but it's not my fault I missed my alarm because my phone died. I huff.

I trudge through some more dead leaves. Some small twigs snap as I step forward. The wind slowly grows stronger, and something comes into my view. A tiny shed pops out of the darkened trees.

Approaching slowly, I knock the door a few times. I step back and wait. Why would someone be in there this late? What was I thinking? I should just leave...

"Hello?" The door cracks open.

I look up, and someone looks down a little to me. "Uh, Hi..."

He blinks at me, then opens the door wider.

"Is this the Butter Cult?" I ask.

"Well, yes..." she pauses, glancing around, "Who are you? It's so late."

"I'm Seppuku, I called yesterday." I shiver, damn it's cold.

"Oh, you again," she breathes quietly.

I cross my arms over my chest, still shaking. We sit in silence, looking at each other.

She looks away. "Do you want inside?"

"Please."

She waves me in. I nod as a thanks.

What is this place? It looks old, everything covered in dust. Boxes are piled around the room. Two chairs and a wooden table stand in the middle of this place. It's such a small space.

"This is the cult?" I look at him, confused.

She nods, "Yes..."

"Small."

"This isn't the main room by the way," she glances to a pile of boxes. "If you want me to show you-"

"What's your name?" I cut her off and her eyes dart to me.

"What?"

"I never got your name." I step forward. "What's your name?"

She mutters, "Butter..." It's nothing louder than a whisper.

"Butter?" I question, she freezes.

"Is this cult all about you?"

"No." She replies solemnly, looking back to what she was doing. Her face is blank. I guess I upset her.

I walk over to her, breathing softly. I watch her move some boxes, revealing a hidden stairway. She looks at me.

"Um-"

She waves at me to follow as she goes down. I cautiously waltz down them. In front of me are metal doors. She presses on them.

They open, giving us access to an elevator.

"Where does this go?"

"Down."

"Okay... But where?"

"Down."

"Okay..." I pat my hands on my sides.

I step in with him and the doors shut. I let out a verbal sigh. Leaning against the wall, I glare at her.

"What?" she looks nervously at me.

"Nothing..." I let my eyes go to my shoes.
