one night.
Shelby found herself with a box in her hands, a box that contained old pictures and her birth certificate and documents. the sudden death of her mother led to this, where she wanted to know everything about her family and the secrets that's always been hidden from her.

she went through the birth certificate first, reading through it where she discovered her actual name was Shelby Loomis. all over town, she's heard about the late Billy Loomis and the events that followed behind it many years ago. following the documents, she knew right then and there that she was in fact, and all along, Billy Loomis's daughter.

when she looked through the pictures, she admired what her father looked like, or what he most likely did look like when he was alive as a teenager. it broke her heart mostly, finally finding out her real life identity and who her biological father was. a tear slipped from her eye, as she traced her thumb over the photograph.

but something was off, he wasn't alive. so therefore, she wanted to desperately know who most likely killed him, and if they were still around today. she grabbed the documents again, scanning over them another time as she came across a new name, one she hasn't read before but was also the talk of the town.

Sidney Prescott.

Months later

Shelby moved into her own home, still living in Woodsboro. she lived pretty peacefully, she spent the majority of her time studying more about the case that happened in '96, the one about her father. she's done nothing else but research all she could, learning about the events and the people involved. she couldn't stop until she had it all figured out, and she wouldn't stop.

what bothered her the most, was the fact that her father never got the justice she thought he deserved. she learned that the person who killed him was still alive, living the life she thought they didn't deserve. digging deeper into the case, she learned about her father having a partner working with him, who also died. she learned about the house where it all happened, that's still up and standing. she learned about the people involved, one being Sidney Prescott.

Shelby wouldn't stop until her father got his justice, even if the entire town went against her. she'll play her own game.

Couple weeks later

The whole town was shocked when they saw the news, a Woodsboro resident attacked by a unknown masked killer. everyone locked their doors at night, closed their blinds and made sure all the windows were locked. but it didn't shock or surprise Shelby, you may ask why? take a guess. that night Shelby was in the bathroom, doing her every night routine. but when she looked in the mirror, who she saw shocked her completely.

Billy Loomis.

her father. her deceased father, was staring back at her with a small smile on his face. and what he wore, seemed to have been the same white bloody shirt he wore the night of the murders all those years ago. but Shelby was happy, she was seeing her father for the first time ever, even if he wasn't truly there.

" dad?" Shelby asked in a small voice.

" how you doing, Shelby?" He asked, still smiling at his daughter like he was genuinely proud of her.

" I miss you." She replied, almost in a whisper. she almost couldn't even believe he was there, but because she missed him too much, she wasn't gonna deny it.

" I miss you too, sweetheart, and I'm proud of you." He said, and his words immediately healed Shelby's heart. she stared at him with tears in her eyes, just wishing she could hug him, for the first time.

" you are?" She asked him, her voice cracking slightly.

" you can't run from who you are, Shelby. I'm helping you. when are you gonna tell everyone why this is happening?" He asked her, and she knew exactly why. she missed her father, someone she's never actually met before, this is only a hallucination. but she's obsessed with it all, and she'll do anything to be with her father. anything.
