30. man, this is life.

Erela's POV :

We are now sitting at the edge of a cliff and that's when Lance brings out a guitar from his car trunk. I did know that he's talented and can play the drums but the guitar as well. Wow. I mean even I can play the guitar so let's see how he's good at it.

"Sing and I'll play this." He says as he adjusts the guitar to his liking.

"Which song do you want me to sing?" I say looking at him.

"Any song." He says as he finally looks at me.

I look at him, being a little hesitant and also confused.

"I love you, I can handle it." He says reassuring me.

And I nod.
And start humming.
Trying to find the tune.

Caught a vibe.

Flashback starts to us when we first had an eye contact at our school basketball match when I was doing the announcement for the match and he made the final shot and won the match. And that's when him and I made our first eye contact and a wave of some new feeling made it's way through me and I had this feeling of something that I can't convey through words.

  Baby, are you coming for a ride?

Flashback to us again when he invited me to his birthday and I said I was busy that day so he came into my house and then waited for a few minutes for me to get dressed and then we went to his birthday party by his car and that was my first ride with him. The party ended at like 3 to 4 ish in the morning and after that we both were sitting at his roof top of his garage and staring at the stars while having a deep conversation about life and future goals. And we stayed at the same spot till the sunrise.

 I just wanna look into your eyes.

Flashback to us again when he walked me back to my house after I accidentally meet him in our school library as I didn't wanna go with him on his bike because at that time I thought it was kinda inappropriate. And while walking with him, it suddenly started raining and thank God I had an umbrella so since he was the taller one, he held the umbrella and I started laughing about something random we were talking about and he was looking at me. Looking at me with so much awe and interest and adoration in his eyes.

  I just wanna stay for the night,
night, night.

Flashback ends with us now sitting here at the edge of a cliff not giving a damn if we would fell. But atleast we are together.
And I then look at him and see him already looking at me. I love him so much.
I don't want this night to end.

We take a drive.

We came here by his car and I pretty nicely remember the way he said and I quote "a ride needs it's purpose."

Maybe, we could hit the 405?

We have two of our spots, our spots which only we know and we like to hangout there. The abandoned garden and this cliff.

Hypnotized by the lights.

The view from here is immaculate, from this angle, we can see almost the whole town and now that it's night time, the lights are gleaming beautifully. And not only the lights but the moon too.

Man, this must be the life.

The life that I never knew I could've gotten. I have now.

It's been 3 months and that conversation which we had at that abandoned garden.
I'm so thankful to have someone with me who's the right one for me.
Who has changed for me.
Who has helped me overcome my darkest and deepest fears.
Who has made me fall in love with myself.
So thankful, I can now call Lance, my boyfriend.

And then I look at him and smile.
Knowing that I've found my partner for life.
He keeps the guitar aside and then he wraps his hand around my waist and kisses me on the lips.
And then we look at the moon together and admire it.
I know he's looking at me though.
I'm his moon and stars and sun.
And he's mine.
Thank God for eachother.

Thank you God, I've lost a one but I've also found the one.
