Enola glanced up at Mira with tearful eyes, confusion flashing between them.

"A disgrace?" she whispered. "I was a disgrace to my father?"

Mira for once gazed at the young woman sadly, but quickly changed her expression as she stared out of the carriage window.

"Your father and I... we were engaged. We wanted to get married in secret. But when he cheated on me with your mother... he had no choice but to cut off the engagement and publicly propose to your mother instead. The anger and rage I had when I figured out his plans..." Mira glanced at me suddenly, a light of emotion flashing through her eyes. When Enola noticed the small smirk forming on her mouth, everything began to piece together.

"But what they didn't tell you... is that your father did amazing things while he was alive. With the help of your father, Enola," Lady Tewksbury reached over to take the young woman's hand.

Enola's mouth was open. "M-my father?"

The Lady nodded. "England was falling apart. They already knew it and wanted to do something about it. But..." she glanced at the Dowager, whose eyes were on her hands, ashamed.

Enola's eyes teared up, her chin raised at the old lady. "Y-you killed my father."

"Mira was an old friend of mine, very sharp and precise with her work in school. I heard of her crime," The Dowager assured Tewksbury.

Enola slowly glared at Mira Troy, her breathing becoming more heavy.

"You... you were the one who convinced the Dowager to kill my father?" the young woman seethed, the bonds tightening on her hands.

Mira shrugged, glancing out the window which only angered Enola even more. How dare this woman killed the man she once loved just because he cheated?

Sure, cheating is bad. Horrible, in fact.

But to the point that she flat out killed him just for revenge?

Mira really was insane.

"Revenge is revenge, dear. With your loved ones out of the picture, and the years of suffering I'm hoping you will endure, I'll finally be able to finish my mission to get back to your father."

"But you already killed him!" Enola suddenly screamed, making Thomas jump as she tried to launch herself at Mira. Of course, the bonds prevented her. More tears streamed down as Enola tried to understand Mira's purpose.

She couldn't. It was pure insanity.

"Please," Enola whispered, hoping that begging might do something. "Please, please, please, leave Tewksbury and my mother alone."

Mira didn't say anything. She continued looking out the window. Enola glanced at Thomas with red eyes from the crying.

"Thomas," Enola whispered. "Don't do this. Please. This is not the Thomas I know."

The young man looked away, clenching his fists.

"Fight it. Fight her. You know this is wrong," Enola continued whispering.

Mira glared at Thomas, watching his expression. The young man shook his head, dropping his eyes to his hands.

"I'm sorry, Enola."

Sobs echoed around the entire carriage as Mira stared out the window once more. Enola did the same, trying to figure out a way she could warn her loved ones. Tell them to flee, go as far as they could. Enola didn't care if she got hurt. She only cared about the safety of her mother and Tewksbury. With her plans swarming around in her head, she slowly drifted off into a light sleep.
