I glanced over at Yuri, who was already knocked out on the sofa in the bar area, while I continued drinking, hoping it would help me fall asleep.

Will I ever be able to sleep again without Lily here to help me?

I lay down on the sofa opposite Yuri's, draping my arm over my eyes to block out the light. But no matter what I did, sleep wouldn't come. My head throbbed painfully, and I knew I needed rest to avoid being irritable at work tomorrow.

Every time I closed my eyes, I saw Lily's face, especially recalling that night we shared. The memories were so vivid that I had to sit up quickly, trying to push them away.

Desperate for distraction, I decided to walk to my room to finish some work. But as soon as I sat down at my study table, my mind went blank.

The quiet room seemed to close in on me, and the weight of my thoughts felt heavier than ever. The documents in front of me blurred as I struggled to focus, the fatigue and emotional turmoil too overwhelming to ignore.

Sobrang kirot na ng ulo ko at gusto ko nang matulog. Pero si Lily parin ang iniisip ko.

I grabbed my phone and dialed her number, ilang sandali lang ay sinagot niya iyon.

Sobrang lakas ng tibok ng puso ko nang marinig kong nag "hmm?" siya sa kabilang linya.

"Can't sleep?" Her voice is low but enough for me to hear.

"I'm sorry, did I wake you up?" Tanong ko, huminga ako ng malalim dahil kumikirot ang puso ko.

"Nuh, kumakain ako." Sagot niya kaya napangiti ako. "At this hour?" Tanong ko, she chuckled a bit. Alas tres na kasi ng madaling araw.

"Hindi ka makatulog?" Tanong niya ulit, "ano pa nga ba," I chuckled. Natahimik naman ito saglit, I don't want to end the call. Hearing her voice calm me.

"All of my life

I thought I was right

Looking for something new

Stuck in my ways

Like old-fashioned days

I thought she would end the call but I hear her sang. Sobrang lamig at ganda ng boses ni Lily and it somehow calms me, and slowly drifting me to sleep.

"The house that you live in don't make it a home

But feeling lonely don't mean you're alone

People in life, they will come and they'll leave

But if I had a choice I know where I would be~"

"Through the lows and the highs, I will stay by your side

There's no need for goodbyes, now I'm seeing the light

When the sky turns to grey and there's nothing to say

I choose you. Will she choose me? Will I ever choose her?

"Are you sleep?" She asked. I chuckled a bit. "No, I want you here, Lily."

Natahimik si Lily, kaya napabuntong-hininga ako.

"Are you still mad?" I asked, voice cracking. With the thought of her mad at me makes me mad at myself too.

"I'm not, Reid. I just can't get mad at you." She gently replied. My heart beats so fast that I could hardly breathe, kaya napaupo ako at sumandal sa headboard ng kama ko.
