Falling feels like flying until the moment you land
You were the wind beneath my wings till you dropped me for the dead
Did it kill you too when you stabbed me in the chest?
Or was it your plan all along to watch me bleed from the wounds you gave?A girlhood passed in a frenzy
Letters marked in my blood
The teardrops have long since dried
It's numb where my heart had once belonged.Love, I would have torn my heart for you if only you had asked
I would have been your sacrifice, the lamb upon the altar
But you left me in the dead of the night
Leaving me stranded in the dark. How did you forget my love for you, the love I gave so freely?
You crowned me with lilies and your lies
Showed me what it feels like to be on top of the world
And then I hit the cold, hard ground.I was the light of your life
Then became just a negative vibe
You blame me for spoiling what we had
When in truth you never saw beyond what you wanted to, yet I still love you.Did you weep as you watched me die?
Or did you laugh as I screamed, 'How could you!'
You were the storm of my life and my greatest lost
Cause you took my heart with you as you left.I sit in the shattered remains of my dreams
Dreams that we had woven together from the golden thread of our bond,
My body has grown blue and cold
Silence screams in my mind. But I know you will think about me in your death bed,
Dream of us flying in the high heavens as you slip into oblivion
You'll whisper 'I love you' before you let go
Wishing my hand was in yours.I swear I will be there, love,
That shadow in the corner of your eye.~•~
