"Were here!" Abi yells as she runs into our dorm room, Ivy on her heels. Me and Charli are sitting at the vanity we set up in our room, doing my makeup.

Charli is a dancer and is much better at hair and makeup then all of us which is the main reason why she usually does it for us because we are all hopeless.

We have two hours until the welcome ball and then we are planning to go to the afterparty which means it is going to be a very long night tonight. Ivy and Abi pull up chairs to the vanity and begin doing their hair using our Dyson air wrap to curl it.

Charli finishes adds a navy eyeshadow and a black eyeliner to my eyelids before declaring me ready and I watch her help Ivy and Abi do their makeup. "Can't you guys learn how to do makeup your selves!" She say exasperated. Even though she says she doesn't we all know she loves doing our hair and makeup.

After all of our hair and makeup is done we get changed into our dresses.

Abi and Ivy look stunning in their dresses and Charli looks like she's Cinderella. I take one last glance in the mirror, fixing up my hair and makeup one last time before walking out of the dorm with the girl.

We make our way down to the ballroom, not getting lost this time as we walk through the doors. Charli looks ecstatic as she look around the crowd of dancing people and leads us into the ballroom.

The classical music fills my ears as we walk to the side of the room getting a glass of cordial that was definitely spiked.

Suddenly Charli's eyes widen in excitement at something behind me "Sadie, the new guy is walking over!" she exclaims in whispered excitement. I feel a tap on my back "Care to dance" a deep familiar voice asks.

I quickly turn on my heels to face the not so new guy and panic strickens my chest. Out of all the people from my old school Ashton Parker was the last person I wanted too see.

I run out of the ballroom before anyone can stop my, why is HE here of all places, why HIM. Ivy follows me out, she is the only one who knows about my old school and about Ashton. The tears run down my cheeks as I remember what happened. I have tried not to think about my old school and how people used to treat me and about Ashton.

After a long conversation about how we can stay away from him and that he won't bother us. Ivy convinces me to go back into the ball with her.

She stays by me the rest of the night and I catch glances of Ashton once and a while dancing with a different girl every time. Charli wasn't wrong, he definitely looks like a bad boy form Wattpad no longer the weak kid that used to be my best friends

At the end of the night the principle stands on the stage and addresses the school. He yapps the usual speech for a long time before I get bored. Luckily he didn't go on for much longer before sending us back to our dorms for bed... no one was going to bed though.

Everyone knew that the fun was just beginning, I grab onto Abi's hand as we run down the hall towards the common room. When we get there the party has already started at students keep piling into the busy common room for the afterparty as music blares through the speakers.

We all grab a drink from the bar that was set up before heading over to where everybody is dancing intoxicated by alcohol and not thinking straight. Taylor Swift starts playing and me and Charli start dancing  excitedly to it jumping around to the beat.

The song stops and I walk away exhausted before a hand wraps around my waist pulling me into someone's rock hard chest. "Hello beautiful" I look up to see Tyler smirking down at me, the alcohol reeking from his breath. I try to step away from him but he just pulls me in closer to him, taking me down a dark hallway. "Tyler stop leave me alone!" I exclaim trying to wriggle out of my grasp.

He pins me against a wall with his body with one hand over my head and one on my cheek as he leans in to kiss me. I close my eyes in horror waiting for it to happen but it never does. I look up to see Tyler getting beaten up by Ashton???

My eyes widen in realization and my mouth hangs open as I watch him angrily beat up Tyler, his arm muscles flexing and eyes narrowed. He stops and turns to me his eyes cold and distant before his expression immediately softens "Say, you all good?" He asks using his childhood nickname for me. Tears threaten my eyes as I think of what Tyler could have done if Ashton hadn't stopped him.

Ashton pulls me into a hug and I melt under his embrace before I stiffen again and pull away from him. "What are you doing here?" I question, my hands on my hips. "I got a sport scholarship for BMX" her responds and memories of him doing BMX comes back to me as I remember all the competitions he made me go to.

I begin to walk away when his hand grabs my wrist and he pins me against the wall."Say don't walk away from me again. I don't want to lose you" he growls and my heart flutter at the proximity, his face only a few centimeters away from mine.

"Well don't be mean!" I retort before storming off back to the party, finding Ivy, Abi and Charli's concerned eyes.

"Hey you okay?" Ivy asks worry in her eyes at my tearstained cheeks and messed up hair. "Yeah I'm just gonna go back to the dorms" I say before running through the maze of corridors to my room and collapse on my bed and I let go of all the emotions I have been hiding.
